Finale of modern Fairytale Diet

Book 2 by Skye Warren in The Modern Fairytale Duet.

The story picks up right where book 1 stopped to add a seamless story which was appreciated. However, the story itself seemed to take a long time to take off and I felt myself getting a bit bored. Instead of the story continuing on this time we do a lot of learning the backgrounds of both the hero and heroine which ties the story up nicely at the end but I just found myself kind of not caring. The writing was good and the narration was excellent. I just think this story didn’t completely grab me.

Great ending but not worth the price

It was a great story but they could totally combine both to be one whole book!! I feel ripped off!

I Enjoyed These 2 Books

I actually enjoyed reading part 1 and equally enjoyed listening to Part 2. That being said. I enjoyed both versions. I can't say that my own personal visuals were better because Lia and Stephen were awesome narrators. Stephen had me nearly ready to pull my car off the road. He literally took my breath away. To be honest, they both did. However, even though with Part 1 I didn't have the intense audibles as I did with Part 2, my own visualizations, from the authors incredible use of words, was just as intense. That's a fact! Personally, I love ... love, romance, erotic sex and a good story. This series adequately feed my taste buds. Thank You Skye Warren for sharing your imagination with us.

Perfect end to a modern fairytale

This picks up right where the first book ended. It’s a brilliant end to Blake and Erin’s story.

In this book we get to experience more of what makes Blake tick and what made him the man he is today. I love him he’s so well rounded as a character and sexy as hell. Speaking of sexy this book should have a Scoville rating it’s so hot. This one made me blush in the car.

Lea and Stephen are brilliant narrators. They allow you to get lost in Skye’s words. An honest to god pleasure to listen to.

I would recommend this to fans of age gap romance, fairytales with a twist and political scandals.

Intense!!

Book 2 is just as intense as the 1st. Both narrators were great, and had so many emotions. This book is comparable in sex just like the 1st (if not more sexually intense). If you liked the first one, then you’ll love this one.

Too over dramatized for my taste

The premises of the book was good, but the sex scenes were way over the top. The writing bounced around too much also. I usually like the male narrator, but during the sex scenes he was way too dramatic. Female narrator did a great job.

Very entertaining.

I wanted a book for a car trip and wow did I really enjoy this story. I have read several books by Skye Warren and just like the others I was not disappointed at all. It kept me hooked from beginning till the end.

Loved it

I read the first book and other that than age gap (I am really not liking this part) the book was great! Lots of steamy moments, sad, family drama...it seems to have covered everything. I love that Erin did NOT play hard to get over dumb stuff...there was no the normal pull and push stupid parts we are forced to listen with other books. I thoroughly enjoyed this book (I didn't have notes)

Narration was so unexpected! I now have my favorite authors that I seem to seek out but these two surprised me in a great way.

(You do have to listen to the first one before embarking on this book)

Erotic Modern Day Fairy Tale

Falling for the Beast by Skye Warren is a modern day fairy tale that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola. This is the second and final book in the A Modern Fairy Tale Duet Series.

Skye did a great job wrapping up the series. I really enjoyed this twist on Beauty and the Beast. The relationship between Erin and Blake was a roller coaster but you couldn’t help but root for them.

Stephen and Lia did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like modern day fairytales, erotic romances, or age gap romances.

Amazing finale

This is the final part of Blake and Erin's story, this dark retelling was fantastic, their chemistry in this part was off the charts, I love the twist the author gave the characters, definitely surprised in a great way. I couldn't see a better ending to their story. The audiobook was narrated by Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola, I simply loved them together, defiantly a great addition, or just get the audiobooks instead, I loved it more than reading the story.

This one is better than the first for sure, but I still was not sold in their love story, had to suspend my disbelief a few times to be able to enjoy. The ending though, was amazing. I like how the author gave their HEA!

So much better than I hoped for

I loved the narration for this book. It was done so well and really gave the book an extra oomph. I loved the second part of the of the duet as much as the first. It was well written and highly enjoyable. I enjoyed the modern fairy tale feel of it and added it to my listen again list.

Way more steam

This book takes places directly after book 1. While I'm very glad that it continued the book, it seemed a different story. I felt like there was less of a plot for this book and just way more sex. There were some issues present - Erin's mother's heart attack and then the meeting of the parents but it just didn't seem like those were explored too much. I would have liked more progression but there wasn't much. The one thing I really enjoyed were the couple of flashbacks into Blake's past. This would have been the perfect idea to expand upon but I felt it wasn't utilized the the full potential.

I honestly enjoy Erin and Blake's character. After the first book they were two people I was rooting for. Regardless of age, money, or whatever they thought stood in their way it was so clear they were made for each other. I do wish we would have gotten more out of them emotionally as a couple than just the non stop sex scenes. Sure, it was important and they were all different but it just seemed like nothing else was explored.

Overall, Falling for the Beast was a good sequel. The writing was very strong and kept the pacing of the book nice. A lot of the first book was brought into the second one but I wish it was more expanded upon. Most of the same issues were still present so I didn't feel like there was much of a plot. Erin and Blake were a fantastic couple and I really enjoyed their relationship. A lot of steamy scenes in this book, but I do wish their relationship was more emotionally driven. If you enjoyed the first book, I do recommend this one as well.

Audio Review
*NOTE: The narration does not affect my rating*
I absolutely loved this narration. I'm so glad they kept the same narrators from the first book and this was done in a dual narration. They worked fantastic together and it was an enjoyable audio. I would definitely recommend the book in this format.

Modern fairytale ... more steam ahead!

It took me a little longer to review this one, as I wanted to listen to part 1 first, and where I'm sure this can work as a stand alone, the context and the way they got together in the first book was really helpful.

It's a fairytale retelling where the 'beast' is a war veteran and 'beauty' is his maid/student. I don't normally enjoy teacher/student romance but it was a very small part of the story and not how they met so it was fine for me. The sequence of events/drama had me a bit confused in this though. What could have been the HEA happened in chapter 9, his PTSD shows up in his dreams and is never really addressed even though it takes up a good portion of the book.

Without giving away the ending, it feels more like a HFN than a HEA. The back stories of the supporting characters were fleshed out much more in this part of the duet, there was even more steam in this one than the first part but like all erotic romance it serves to move the plot forward or the couple closer together. I'm impressed at how he handled his parents, but it felt very much like a one sided relationship (she motivated him to re join society, but other than supporting her through part of her mum's health crisis, he didn't seem to motivate her in the same way) so I can understand why supporting characters focussed on the age difference and finances.

Overall I really enjoyed it, I will definitely be reading more Skye Warren (this was my first time) but I did find it a bit confused.

Wonderful!💖💖😍

I absolutely love this series and read it a while ago. These two fabulous characters, Erin and Blake, have been brought wonderfully to life, by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter, as they go through intense trials in their efforts to reach their HEA. The love between Erin and Blake is just lovely and it was a joy to revisit their story 😍😍😍😍😍
