Publisher's summary

There are a million and one reasons not to fall for her best friend’s twin. Too bad love isn’t reasonable....

He may make her geeky heart beat faster, but Abby’s crush on Zane needs to die. Not only is he her best friend’s twin - an epic violation of friend code - but he’s her total opposite. Oh, and right now? He’s also her client.

Zane’s startup has enough headaches. He doesn’t need the added stress of having his sister’s irritatingly adorable friend taking over his office and getting under his skin - in more ways than one. His company’s launch may rest on Abby’s shoulders, but the cost to Zane’s sanity and his heart might be too high.

When Abby and Zane are forced together on an investor’s weekend, the lines blur between business and personal, between friendship and something much more.

Can this buttoned-up businessman and quirky coder take a risk on love despite the odds?

This is the first in a series of closed-door, laugh-out-loud romcoms following a group of friends as they find love, one dating disaster at a time! Each can be listened to as a stand-alone, but they are best listened to together in order.

Engaging and fun story

As usual Emma St Clair demonstrates outstanding storytelling skills. I knocked a star off not because it isn't an excellent read and the narration awesome but because this concept that grown women can't be flexible about their look and persona to meet different business and social environments due to experiences donkey years ago is an insult to women everywhere who are victorious survivers and overcomers - women are capable and competent and able to be awesome chameleons and suggesting that confidence is dependent on pink hair or clothing or superficial anything else is an insult......

I didn't love the drama source for this story but the characters were fun and I love that it was clean with good chemistry!

Worth the Listen

Unfortunately the female narrator wasn’t my cup of tea. But the storyline was good and if you can get past the inflection errors it’s entertaining and fun. I will probably stick with reading the series myself rather than listening.

Pretty funny at times

There were some pretty funny parts. The narrators were ok. The gentleman was a bit robotic. I probably won’t listen to the rest of the series.

Loved this!!

I loved the storyline, the swoon worthy moments, and that there was even a little mystery in it. I even laughed out loud during parts of it. This book has everything I was looking for!

female narrator is difficult to listen to

I liked the story but struggled to finish because the female narrator spoke every sentence as though it were a question. Very distracting to me and it took away from the humor of some of the scenes - with a different narrator I would have been laughing tull my sides hurt. I
