Publisher's summary

The men of Twisted Steel are great with their hands.

And they're not afraid to get dirty.

Duke Bradshaw, co-owner of the Twisted Steel custom motorcycle and hot rod shop, may devote his days to chrome and leather, but his nights belong to Carmella. His sultry, redheaded neighbor has a smile like an angel and a body built for sin, and for the past year both have dominated Duke's dreams. When a problem at Twisted Steel requires a fast fix, Duke sees his chance to finally make his fantasy a reality.

Ever since she first heard the low rumble of his engine, Carmella Rossi has wondered if Duke Bradshaw handles his women as expertly as he handles his bike. When he shows up at her door offering her a much-needed job at his shop, she gets her chance to find out. Beneath Duke's masterful touch, Carmella soon submits to a world of unimaginable pleasure.

But history has taught Carmella how bad a bad boy can be. If she doesn't put on the brakes fast, her hard-bodied heartbreaker could drive her right over the edge....

I just love these good bad boys! This series is full of tattooed bad boys and they are all sweet, sexy and protective! Duke is her neighbor who she loves to watch, Camilla is the girl next door with baggage and stress that she hides well. When these two come together it's perfect! I loved that this couple has real life arguments like overreacting about things and a little jealousy but they know how to work through them with big huge drama fights. Lauren Dane is on my MUST BUY EVERYTHING list because I love her stories and all of her characters feel like they could be my friends, they are so real and that makes me come back for more!

The narration was excellent for this book. She does a great male voice without sounding like a girl trying to sound like a guy. She really does hit the alpha male perfectly for me!

Perfection - Hot and Sexy

Another great installment in the Ink & Chrome trilogy.

Twisted Steel is more than just a garage, it is a way of life. These guys are bareknuckle fighters, racers of bikes, cars or anything else with a motor and wheels. They know what they want, or think they do, and go after it!

This book contains the story of Duke Bradshaw, cofounder of Twisted Steel. Bradshaw has always kept an eye on his sexy, redheaded neighbor Carmella. The current secretary at Twisted Steel is leaving, opening up a position for which Carmella is perfect.

Finally, Carmella has a steady job (even with retirement benefits) and she is not can it do anything to mess it up – ESPECIALLY keeping away from the sexy Duke Bradshaw. A tryst with her boss will cause nothing but trouble… but trouble can be so much fun…

Both Duke and Carmella have secrets of their own that they are perfectly happy talking around, will they begin to trust one another enough to share their burdens? The sexual tension between them is heady, in the office, near the racetrack and everywhere else.

Sasha Dunbrooke is a very talented voice performer. I'm so glad that she narrates all 3 books in this trilogy.

Again, I think that Lauren Dane and Sasha Dunbrooke are a match made in audiobook heaven. I am excited to listen to the next book, but am saddened that that it's the last in the series. This contemporary romance does include descriptions of sex, some violence and strong language.

Well.........!

I've listened to a couple of disappointing new series from my fave authors in recent times.

This however is NOT one of them. The story-lines are cohesive and the characters are rich and well rounded. Added to great narration and it's a winner. Can't wait for the rest of the Ink and Chrome saga...

Not far off perfect and my standards are extremely high.

5 Falling Under

I LOVE THIS SERIES!
Carmella is that kid that had a crappy childhood who turns into the beautiful soul, and who is still taking care of the parent. She struggles to do what she thinks is best for her mother and for herself.
She was perving on the next door neighbor Duke. Who is a co-owner in Twisted Steel. A chance meeting where Duke needs Carmella's expertise gives her a job she can't resist.
She is very reluctant to start anything with Duke because she works for him. But he is very persuasive. He wants or I should say needs to be needed. I think that stems from his own family issues.

He is fierce and protective and LOYAL. Carmella is all those things as well so when they fight or I should say things go aye it doesn't take long before they find their way back to each other.

The audiobook is outstanding I loved it and have re-listened a few times.
I love that we get characters from the first book just as much and I am sure that's what’s it’s going to be like in the next. So yeah READ this beauty you won't regret it. Esp if you loved the first book.

DAMAGED HEROINE SAVED BY HERO'S UNWAIVERING LOVE

Carmella has a lot of self-worth and trust issues brought about by parents that only ever used her, never cared for her and verbally abused her. Her alcoholic Father has just got out of jail, her Mom is a neurotic, pill dependant, needy and greedy emotional and monetary strain on Carmella's life. However, Carmella feels responsible for her Mom so she brings her food, pays her bills and slowly meters out her pills but her Mom is never grateful for anything she does. She's also got an ex husband who begs, borrows and steals from Carmella, is a slimeball and runs in shady circles. So to say she comes with a lot of baggage would be the understatement of the century. Carmella's only highlights in her days are when she gets to see glimpses of her hot, handsome, muscled and tattooed neighbor Duke who makes her pulse quicken, her libido goes crazy with mental sexual images and her heart pounds. Then, on a day that'll change her future, he casually and confidentially walks into her life and offers her a job.

Duke is the Co-Owner of Twisted Steel a custom made body repair garage and he's had the hots for his beautiful neighbor for over a year now so when they need a new person to run the Office he instantly thought of Carmella and that could be his way in to bring to life all his sweet and sexy fantasies. After saying yes to the job Carmella initially tries to keep her distance from Duke because now he's her new boss but his flirty ways, sweet talking and the sexual chemistry that crackled between them is finally too much and she gives in to him..... and lust.

Carmella and Duke's relationship does hit a few bumps in the road caused by insecurities, pigheadedness, lack of faith and trust but Duke was in too deep to just walk away. So he did a great job at apologising and trying to understand in the hopes of getting a second chance because he knew right from the start that he was in love but he had to wait for Carmella to feel that way about him too. Carmella's family issues were getting worse day by day and the one person who was always there holding her tight, needing all of her and showing her how much he cared was Duke. And so she finally let him in, through the barriers that shielded her heart, and love, hope and the possibilities of a happy future came flooding in.

Carmella was a feisty character and Duke was the perfect guy - he was romantic, thoughtful, caring, sexy, a great lover, passionate.... and he loved and spoilt her dog too. Their relationship did suffer because of the turmoil and hateful drama dished out by her parents but on the whole it was a very loving and very sexual bond that grew in strength day by day because of their willingness to give each other what they need. They were a couple falling in love despite trying to dodge the emotional angst coming from both sets of parents. Dual POV's and a very good narrator who captured the characters and their moods perfectly.

Worth a credit? Yes creditworthy, if you're looking for a totally enjoyable contemporary love story that flows well and doesn't have a lot of drama between the H/H but instead there's flirty conversations, lust filled looks, sexy scenes and character development as they both curved their reactions and became supportive for each other. But initially misunderstandings, short tempers and the failure to confide in one another did create some pitfalls. However fate, thankfully, had a HEA planned for them.
