Publisher's Summary

Dr. Jordan Williams devotes her life to two things: saving patients in the operating room and pleasuring her latest conquest in the bedroom. Her idea of commitment is spending a few hours together in bed.

Single mom Emma Larson is Jordan’s polar opposite. Family and fidelity mean everything to her. After an ugly divorce from her wife, a plastic surgeon, she and her five-year-old daughter move in next door to Jordan. While she finds Jordan undeniably attractive, falling in love with another womanizing surgeon is the last things she needs.

When a bad fall leaves Jordan in need of assistance, Emma decides to help her while she recovers.

Could those six weeks turn out to be the beginning of a happily ever after, or will they both end up with a broken heart?

Thanks for inclusion

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I think it’s important to acknowledge the inclusion in this book. THANK YOU for having a black main character. So many authors act like there are no lesbians in the world other than blonde haired and blue eyed women. So if you don’t care for a minority as the main character then look for another book. Brava for inclusion!!!

Surprised

It took me some time to realize that this book is a sequel to the book I finished a day earlier, Heart trouble and just like that one I loved this one. I think thatJae left it open to write a third book, to tell us what will happen to Simone and to Cloe...
Loved this book looking forward to reading more

Another amazing story

It took a bit longer than some others of Jae's books to get into but it's well worth it. As done with Backwards to Oregon, Jae writes the most adorable kids. The character growth and is always so enjoyable. It's very good.

The narrator does a fantastic job and lets you just get absorbed into it. I found all the voices to easy to listen to and the emotion feels so genuine.

Don’t bother....

This book was LAME!
I have read and listened to several books from Jae in the past, but this one was terrible.
It took me forever to get through the book as I was hoping that it would get better.
Jordan is a sex hound while Emma is not. They meet and suddenly Jordan turns into a nun created by Emma.
I would have given the book zero stars if possible.

The Player Meets A Mom

Jordon was a Surgeon and didn’t do relationships. Once, maybe twice was excellent for her. Then Emma and her five year old daughter move into the other half of the duplex. Suddenly she has trouble not thinking about Emma and Molly. Great performance and romance. Recommend.

Book was ok

First book that I’ve read by Jae. Wasn’t terrible but the narration threw it off for me. Especially for there being a WOC in the story.

Falling hard is the only way!

Loved the unforced diversity, the children, the animals, and, the way love can turn one around or even help one see differently.

Very slow start

Overall the book was ok. It took a very long time to get to the point of the story. It felt like parts of the book were dragging on just to fill up empty space

Thumbs down for narration

Once again jae’s story is fantastic, but was a massive let down by the choice of narrator
