A New York Times Best Seller

To want what you’re not supposed to have....

She is only 19. She is his new stepfather’s daughter. She is still nave and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother. But for 24-year-old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida Gulf Coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change, and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother, who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that... Blaire just may have fallen too far.

Good but can't stand Cliffhangers!

I was enthralled from the beginning....just had cliffhangers when the next book isn't available. I still did enjoy this book and would recommend it if you like New Adult Romances!

Enjoyable love story with no real ending

I have no idea why I liked this book, but I did. Despite the major plot holes and ridiculous storyline I still enjoyed this one. It hooked me from the start and I couldn’t stop listening. Unfortunately, there is no real ending with this book. I didn’t realize this was the start of another series so it ends with a big cliffhanger. I had planned to get the next book but it’s not available on Audible. What a bummer…

Overall I give this a 4 star rating since I really enjoyed it from start to (almost) finish.

Nice hot romance

I liked the book and listened to it in one sitting. But I hate when a book just ends and leaves you guessing. “Oh crap” Is there another book to this one? And then find out that there are 3 books. But why can't audible get all the books so we can get them all. Or at least let a person know that this is book 1 of 3. By the time audible gets book 2 and 3 I will have forgotten book 1. That's one down fall about listening to book that you have no idea that it’s only book 1 of 3. I will have to buy and read book 2 and 3 since I know audible won't get them for a long time if at all. But all in all I liked the 1st book. I read reviews on book 2 and they were not good. The reviews on book 3 seem to be a lot better. I guess I will have to wait and see once I read the 2nd and 3rd book for myself. I wish audible would somehow find a way to let people know that the book they are downloading is 1 of 3 books in a series. I will however read another book by Abbi to see if I liked it as much as book one. Book 2 is Never too far and book 3 is Forever Too Far.

Immature story with ok writing

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It wasn't painful to listen to but not a great listen. I had nothing better to listen to while working so I listened to the entire book, other wise I would have given up on it part of the way through it.

I felt that the story was too immature. There was no real exploration of the characters, they just wanted each other for no explainable reason. I felt that the story was a decent outline of a what could have been a good story if the characters could have been allowed to develop over time.

I have read and listened to many books and this was just too weak of a story line to really like or enjoy.

Not her best!

Have listened to several of the other books by Abbie Glines and although New Adult is not really my cup of tea, I enjoyed the past books I listened to. Not this time. I actually could not finish listening so my review is not worth much. But the narrator for the female role whined, and I hated the female character so much, I did not finish! Sorry

Heart happy

Abbi Glines, for me, is like the "pop princess" of romance. Her books are trendy, fun, cool and entertaining for all.

Fallen Too Far is no different. Blaire loses her mom to cancer and has no other option than to travel to Rosemary Beach to be taken care of by her deadbeat dad. She arrives to meet her "step brother", Rush and the dad she is hoping will give her a place to live is no where to be found. Rush hates everything Blaire represents until the day that he doesn't anymore and everything gets complicated. There are secrets that Blaire must uncover and after she does, will she be able to stay? Because Rush and Blaire have a chemistry and a pull that can't be ignored.

Jennifer Bronstein could not have been more perfect for this book if I were to have hand made the narrator myself. Her inflections and tone oh and the accent! Perfect.

Weak performance. Generally weak story

The narrator lacked any emotion or voice inflection when she preformed the main protagonist's voice, Blare. The other voices seemed more natural an less contrived. The story was weak until the end, when everything came out to light. The insta-love between Blare and Rush, was almost impossible to believe or relate to. I'm going to continue with the series only to see how if it improves and if Blare gets her peace. But other than that. There isn't much to the story to keep me enthralled.

completely captivating

Any additional comments?

A new day romance. This is the story of a girl who learns to become a woman. She had to forgo her dreams of a normal life when her mom got sick and her father left them soon after her sister dies in an accident. I admit I loved the story all the way to the last 15 minutes. To blame a man whom you fall in love with for not disclosing information she would have liked to know and then to blame him so extensively that you cut him out of your life completely is a ridiculous notion. She put all her anger and frustration into her man when the one who should have come clean and blamed was her father. Others are not responsible to disclose all information they know and in a speedy matter too. Time and trust is needed before someone feels safe enough to share especially since almost always the barer of bad news is the one who gets burnt. I felt the ending left much to be desired. It was not the deepest or most thoughtful way to end this book especially since most young ladies would never in real life do anything remotely similar to this ending.

I LOVE this audio books

If you could sum up Fallen Too Far in three words, what would they be?

Amazing, Heartfelt, Intense

What other book might you compare Fallen Too Far to and why?

I love all of Abbi Glines' books. This reminds me of Just For Now and While It Lasts. You have the bad boy hottie and the pretty good girl which almost seems so cliche but then BAM!!! Abbi puts the twists to the story that has you on the edge of your seat. I was swooning, falling in love, crying...I mean it was awesome.

Which character – as performed by Jennifer Bronstein – was your favorite?

My favorite character both in the audio and the book itself is Blaire. I love Jennifer Bronstein's narration of this. That's exactly how I picture Blaire to sound. I love the changes in her tone when shes narrating and the innocent sound to her voice which so reminds me of Blaire. It really delivers the emotions that the characters are feeling. Wonderfully done.

Any additional comments?

I'm so glad that they picked Jennifer Bronstein to narrate Blaire's POV. I have all of the audio books for the Seabreeze collection and the Vincent Boys and as much as I enjoyed the narrators for both series I am thankful for the change. I hope that for the next book, Fallen Too Far, they'll pick someone as awesome and fitting to Rush as Jennifer is to Blaire. I found that the male narrator for the Seabreeze and Vincent boys sounded a little too old to portray Beau, Sawyer, Cage, Preston etc etc.
