Publisher's Summary

The Montgomery Ink series continues with a spin-off in Colorado Springs, where a familiar Montgomery finds her place in a new tattoo shop, and in the arms of her best friend.

Adrienne Montgomery is finally living her dreams. She's opened a tattoo shop with her brother, Shep, and two of her cousins from Denver, and she's ready to take the city by storm with her art - as long as she can handle the pressure. When her new neighbors decide her shop isn't a great fit for the community, however, she'll have to lean on the one person she didn't expect to fall for along the way...her best friend.

Mace Knight takes pride in two things: his art and his daughter. He knows he's taking a risk by starting over in a new shop with the Montgomerys, but the stakes are even higher when he finds himself wanting Adrienne more than he thought possible. The two fall fast and hard but they know the rules; they can't risk their friendship, no matter how hot it is between the sheets and how many people try to stand in their way.

Friends to lovers

Fallen Ink is a spin off series of Carrie Ann's beloved Montgomery Ink series. In this story we meet Adrienne; Shep's little sister and fellow tattoo artist. Adrienne and her best friend Mace Knight have been friends for years as well as colleagues. They each have feelings for each other but were too worried about the what if's and ruining their friendship. The chemistry between these two is hot and intense. I really love how Carrie Ann wrote a strong independent female character that is not afraid to show her vulnerable side. Again Carrie Ann has written a Montgomery story that you will fall in love with. Joe Arden did an amazing job of telling the story and keeping the reader engaged.

Fallen ink

I felt that this book wasn't as exciting as I had hoped. It had a basically good story but the action was lacking.

A Steamy Friends to Lovers Story

I have to start off my review by saying I love the Montgomery Family I have never read or listened to a book about any one of them I didn't love and this first book in the Colorado Springs series is no exception. Adrienne and Mace have been friends for years but they have never taken the next step although if they are honest they have both wanted to. But what if it didn't work was it worth risking their friendship? The chemistry between Adrienne and Mace is palpable and so hot. Theirs is the kind of close friendship where they were bound to fall for each other, and Mace has fallen hard, he's head over heels for his longtime best friend Adrienne. I really liked him he ’s both strong and sensitive he can be dominating but he's always respectful, he's also very passionate. I really liked Adrienne she has such a strong spirit and is determined to fight for what she wants. Someone is trying to ruin their new tattoo shop, the tension builds throughout the story and it's against this backdrop that these two finally give in to their desire for each other. This is a really great Friends to Lovers story where the characters have such depth, as you would expect from Carrie Ann, and once I started listening to it I could not stop, I just had to find out what would happen next and what the outcome would be. I loved this couple they were so very good together they have such a crazy fun relationship both in and out of the bedroom. I also loved how they tried to keep their relationship a secret, no way was that going to work! Another hit for Carrie Ann Ryan. The narration by Joe Arden is excellent and he managed to convey all the drama and feelings beautifully.

Fallen Ink, by Carrie Ann Ryan is an enjoyable story that incorporates best friends falling in lust (and eventually in love). It's recommended and geared towards those who enjoy reading contemporary romances. Love the friends to love storyline!

This was my first story in any of the Montgomery series, and what a charm it was to read. Mace and Adrienne have known each other for quite some time, but they’ve come to a point now in their lives where they give in to what has been simmering between them. Loved their chemistry, how awesome would it be to fall in love with your best friend, someone you could joke with, someone that will have your back. This couple gave me all the feels! Of course, the added suspense to their storyline just made it so much better, who is trying to stop the tattoo parlor from flourishing? Such amazing characters that Ms. Ryan has created, I love that our heroine is a very strong character, she doesn’t take BS from anyone. And our hero, what can I say about a single dad, he loves his daughter, I’m a sucker for any little girl that can have her daddy wrapped around her little finger. I read this book by listening to the audiobook, great narrator.

Loved it!! Great Story!!

Completely loved this story!! This is a spin off from the Montgomery Ink Series, it’s where you get to see what is happening to the other Mongomery’s. This is Adrienne and Mace’s story they have been best friends forever and there for each other through everything. Addy is opening a new tattoo shop and Mace is working with her they make a great team. Then they both begin to feel different towards each other and try and fight it off they don’t want to risk their friendship over lust. The narrator was amazing and did a wonderful job with the story. I loved listening to it and can’t wait to listen to them again.
