Publisher's Summary

Jesse McDermitt has been grieving the loss of a loved one to terrorists. He's been holed up on his secluded island home for months, numbing his mind and body with endless, mundane tasks. But he has a plan for vengeance. A friend approaches Jesse seeking help for her dad who's been pressured into running drugs for a dangerous Cuban smuggler. When Jesse learns that the smuggler is also an arms merchant for Hezbollah, the terrorist organization responsible for the death of someone close, he once again looks to settle the score. Fast boats, beautiful underwater scenery, and blazing guns abound in this fast paced romp through the Caribbean, with stops in Cuba, Key West, and Cozumel, Mexico.

Take your mind on a warm vacation

If you’re looking for a break from the cold winter, then “Fallen Hunter” is the perfect escape. A good mix of action and scenes from the keys make it a fun listen. The characters are a static but fun and the descriptions of the activities and views from the beach make me want to grab a rum punch and jump on a plane south. My biggest complaint is that other than one big thing that goes wrong each story, everything else along the way seems to go way too well for Jesse. Take a trip to the content keys with this well written and fun story from down south!

Mr. Sullivan does a great job bringing the characters to life. His accents and characters are fun to listen to and is pacing is very good. He really added to the enjoyment of this book.

Rock solid 5 star suspense thriller

Fallen Hunter is Book 3 in the Jesse McDermitt/Caribbean Adventures series by Wayne Stinnett. At this point I am committed to listening to all 9 novels in the series. This series is a great find that I just happened to come across. McDermitt is a retired recon Marine sergeant now living in the middle Florida keys near Marathon. He has his own 2 acre island which is now well developed. He is also a member of a civilian military unit composed mostly of Navy SEALs that does special jobs for the US government. This novel is about taking down a group of Middle Eastern terrorists in a training camp in Cuba.

Stinnett does a great job of developing the repeating characters in the series. Nick Sullivan narrates the novels in this series. He is a good at narrating as George Guidall, Dick Hill, Will Patton, and maybe even Scott Brick.

I highly recommend this novel and this series. Although the series novels do not have to be read in order, the first two provide background information that is helpful in understanding the later stories.

Killin' it!

Yet another masterfully written and dramatized novel from Wayne Stinnett. I'm gonna go broke buying all these Jesse McDermitt novels to see what happens next! This is another example of the adventure, drama, suspense and all those other words used to describe a great book. There is no need to buy the previous novels because most is recapped in each new book. No need to buy the previous books if you like missing details, back stories, adventure and feeling connected to the main and sub characters... Yeah, you'd better just go get the entire collection, cancel your plans for the next week, and binge listen/read this fantastic adventure series! Mr Stinnett will have you so emersed in the story you'll feel the emotions of the characters like they were your own. The only thing that would keep me from finishing this series would be death, or my wife feeling neglected because I'm always wanting to finish each book!

Great series of books

I loved listening to these books after reading them first. The only problem with that was the careful diction of a practiced, and obviously accomplished, voice actor was not the same as what my imagination had Jessie sounding like. it took a little getting used to. But hey, I just bought my 4th book in the series (Audible version) so I wasn't that put off by it.

A fantastic story teller

This series is one of the best I had the pleasure of reading in very long time. His characters are all as real as the next door neighbor, and all the stories pulled me in from page one...
I've read all the ebooks so far and I'm on the fourth audio book as well with the intent of listening to each and every one.
I simply love the way he writes.
