Fantastic new perspective on the Christmas narrative

Very well researched and presented! We appreciated that the author sought out details of the story that we often overlook when we read the Christmas story or sing carols. We also appreciated that he named the Holy family as refugees and the outcasts, calling out his readers to question how they treat those people on modern society.

A Real Gift for Christmas

With the grace, humility and wisdom that surely characterized Saint Joseph, Adam Hamilton weaves a fascinating narrative of our Lord’s foster father. It was refreshing to view the Christmas story from a different perspective. This I a masculine perspective that is both strong and gentle. The author is a Protestant pastor. Not surprisingly, as a Catholic, there are details in his presentation of Joseph l see differently. However, the overall portrait he sketches is compelling and unexpectedly illuminating. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and was particularly moved by the final chapter on how our good Lord seeks for us, his lost sheep.

Big Win For My Advent Study

This was a beautifully written relevant and succinct review of what we know about Joseph the father of Jesus and how and what Joseph's Journey meant for our salvation and Savior.

Insightful and easy to digest

I enjoyed the inclusion of multiple religions insights from Jewish life and wedding custom to also catholic and other Christian backgrounds.
