Facebook Effect and Tipping Point

I loved this book. Its fascinating to listen how it moved from his dorm room to (now) 500M people. Social Networking is the tidal wave that's coming, so its fun to understand the origins of Facebook.

Incredibly Insightful Account of the True Facebook

I've just finished listening The Facebook Effect, and it was like a movie I didn't want to end. I'm considering listening it again. As a budding internet startup entrepreneur, learning from major successes, such as Facebook, is incredibly valuable.

An Amazing Story

The Zuckerberg story is one of the most insightful, inspiring and exciting stories I have ever listen of how the youngest billionaire in the world made his fortune without really caring about money.

Fun and informative

I had my reservations about this book thinking it was just another attempt at glorifying the company's success journey. But it turned out to be a very fascinating listen and provided some real insights about the company.

I originally purchased this book because I thought it was required listening for all. However, after a few chapters, I realized this could be one of the top ten business books of the decade and...it was fun to listen.

Better story than The Social Network

This seems to be as close to a true story about the founding of Facebook as it gets, vs the largely fictional version we saw in The Social Network. A fascinating, insightful, detailed and captivating account of what happened early on in Facebook's days. Great to listen, highly recommended for entrepreneurs, social media professionals and just fans of Facebook.

Ego-Inflated Biography

The book reminds me of the recordings in the Bioshock games when they talk so highly of Andrew Ryan, thus painting him as a god. If the book was objective, it would have made it a 5-star book. Objectivity would make the book much more credible. Making Zuck into a god just makes it harder to see through the BS.

Young genius to Internet entrepreneur..

It's amazing that the innovator of FB launched it from his dorm room at Harvard University. He's become an influential figure for his generation. With a net worth in the billions, it's no surprise that Zuckerburg has been involved in various legal disputes brought by his friends and cofounders, who claimed they were due a share of the company based upon their involvement during its development phase. Still he perseveres in revolutionizing our social media future. I received this well narrated free review copy and have decided to voluntarily leave this review.

A passion for social media

Ivan Fernandez 's bio starts with the following sentence: "I love building connections with other people. I am passionate about social media because it allows me to do just that." I had the pleasure of meeting her and can say that this is definitely evident, almost as if he's a walking, talking version of Facebook itself. Everyone knows OF Mark Zuckerberg, but I don't think that the majority of us feel we really KNOW him. With "Think Like Zuck," her experience at Intel and passionate approach to social media give the listener a unique insight into his life.
