Publisher's summary

Everyone knew the kind of girl Jean Timberlake was; ask anybody in the sleepy surf town of Floral Beach and they'd say Jean was wild, looking for trouble. But she certainly wasn't looking for murder. She was found dead on the beach 17 years ago, and a rowdy ex-boyfriend named Bailey Fowler was convicted of her murder and imprisoned...and then Bailey escaped.

Now private eye Kinsey Millhone steps into a case that should have never been closed, in a town where there's no such thing as a private investigation.

More performers!

It would be wonderful if they would use more than one person to read these books!

Fabulous

That one word above says it all. Fantastic! With out a doubt, most of her books are in the A pluses for me. Maybe she can switch to numbers next, and have a true man developing in her world? Just saying

F is for Faithful Filler

I know I said I would put Sue Gafton aside for the rest of the year, but I couldn’t help picking up another Kinsey Millhone instalment. I wanted to read something that I knew in advance would be a guaranteed good read, and this series never disappoints.

I can’t add anything new to my reviews of Sue Grafton and Kinsey Millhone books; I have said everything I can in regards to this series, in a nutshell: I love them!

After this I have G, H, and O to go and I am all caught up until X comes out (in 2015?)

One aspect late on felt a little forced, but otherwise another great Kinsey Milhone novel.

Love

Always enjoyed Sue Grafton’s series in my youth. Now I remember why. I’m glad to get the audible version and revisit this wise and wonderful detective.

Best yet

I started the series upon hearing of the author’s death on NPR and taped interview. I have not been disappointed. They are realistic and fun, they also keep you guessing which I find many murder mysteries do not. This was the best yet.
