Publisher's summary

James and Elle Eversman are a young couple traveling through the Mojave desert on their way to a new life. When their car mysteriously breaks down, they are stranded in the middle of nowhere without much water and no cell phone reception.

A mile away a deadly sniper has them in his crosshairs. They are pinned down behind their broken-down car, surrounded by open ground in all directions. There's nowhere to run and no one to help them. How can they possibly survive?

With relentless tension, razor-sharp prose, and a surprising dose of dark humor, Eyeshot will keep you gripped until its stunning conclusion.

Reminiscent of the classic 1971 film "DUEL

Where does Eyeshot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the top 10%

What did you like best about this story?

Before beginning the book, I wondered if the author would be able to keep the tension and pacing going strong throughout the entire book. The author, Taylor Adams, exceeded my expectations and I stayed up late to listen to it.

What about Tom Zingarelli’s performance did you like?

The narrator was well matched with the story and used the right inflection at the right moment.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to more books from this author.

it was alright , just alright

It was alright, not as good as No Exit, only somewhat thrilling. i was at first distracted by the narrator, the main female lead has many fun and sarcastic remarks and the narrator doesn't convey that or put emphasis where is needed to deliver these lines, plus his rendition of the female voice reminds me of a male cartoon character trying to act as a woman, sort of funny. i had trouble following the story at times too bc the transitions can be choppy. not a bad story tho

LIKED IT 😎

As thrillers go pretty good but some of the characters were left undeveloped and lacked motivation to do some of the things they did.
Who was this Soviet guy and why would he bust ass to please Taft when Taft would have let him die and obviously wasn't paying him.

How the guy had killed 55 people over many years with the idiots he had helping him makes no sense.

But if you suspend disbelief- which is easy to do and as I do with many others - it was fun and entertaining.

Turning into a Taylor Adams fan

The book went by fast for me. I liked that there are only a handful of characters all of which were entirely different. The story was a simple yet imaginative one. Something you can picture actually happening and wondering what you would do in that situation.Narrator did an excellent job. I will listen to this one again and look forward to more from the writer.

Wow exciting

I found this when watching a movie called no exit written by him. This was even more exciting than Jack reacher, James Patterson. I have nearly 600 books by audible and I will rank this one for suspense and excitement in the top 5.

Entertaining, almost plausible

Was this written to be a movie script? It seems almost too far fetched to be anything else. At one point, there’s just no explanation of how ... well, I don’t want to spoil it. I’m still scratching my head after listening to that section three times.

Gripping...great read!

A thriller you won't be able to put down. This wasn't really my type of book, boy was I wrong. I loved James & Elle's relationship. I cannot believe this all took place in the desert... it was very hard to put down Brilliant from start to finish!

I gave this author a second shot (no pun intended) after reading "No Exit", which I didn't enjoy. this book, however, was good. it was thrilling and moved along nicely.

As my 2nd Taylor Adams book, It reinforced his ability to hold my attention, although I enjoyed No Exit much more.
