Unfortunately I didn't learn anything by reading this book. It provides an oversimplified look at investing and saving. Wished it had gone into more detail and spent less time reiterating obvious points.

Way to basic to learn anything

Some things seemed obvious to me. Some of the info may serve some. However, I was hoping for more specifics for each topic. Such as a specific plan to accomplish each goal.

MAYBE A Good Starting Point for Some

The summary of this book is spend less save more. I listened to the whole thing and kept waiting for it to get to the "good stuff" where it would tell me something that was actually profound or useful. I felt like I was listening to one of those infomercials where they keep you feeling like they're about to tell you the secret and before you know it you've wasted 45 minutes of your time and haven't truly learned anything. The only difference is there isn't a big sell at the end.

Waste of Time

What disappointed you about Extreme Early Retirement?

Advice was generic and was simply restatements of surface-level early retirement statements: cut expenses, live on less, etc. The narrator sounded computer generated and struggled with common financial abbreviations.

Any additional comments?

More analytical analysis of HOW to achieve early retirement, not WHY early retirement is great. Who needs to be convinced that becoming financial independent earlier has a negative side. Advice was simply too generic for anyone interested in the topic.

Disappointing with lack of analytical insight
