Helpful and concise.

This timely book is a great review on why expository preaching is the best and actually only kind of preaching we need. But mainly, it teaches you how to preach. Short but not simplistic. A good, short crash course on expository preaching.
The reader did a great job too.

This book gave a great outline on expositional preaching. The author takes time to explain what expositional preaching is and how to write an sermon based on expositional preaching. This book is a must for new pastors!

I'm a pastor, teacher and preacher of many years.

I was really excited, and yet empowered by your book, to be not just enthusiastic about expository assumptions but to be more conscious of exegesis of the word, letting the text speak for itself and not me making it say otherwise, thanks again.

Very practical and well-thought preaching manual.

Loved it. I recommend this book to all Christians. My Bible-readings will be more faithful and fruitful. Anyone wanting to adopt a deeper and more rewarding study of the Scriptures ought to go through this book - simple yet profound in its teachings and of course, well-narrated!

Hard hitting direction for sermon preparation

This was an insightful book in helping both the new and the seasoned minister focus on the construction process of an expository sermon. It's concise presentation and scriptural examples on the various methods described were beyond helpful. It may require a double or triple listen in order to absorb all of the nuggets of wise counsel presented but well worth the investment. This is a ministerial must for insertion into your personal library.

Standard American Evangelical perspective.

Bizarre mixture of fundamentalist literalist Orthodoxy, magical thinking and just enough technical jargon to give the false impression of academic expertise.
