Publisher's summary

Joe Dispenza, DC, has spent decades studying the human mind - how it works, how it stores information, and why it perpetuates the same behavioral patterns over and over. In the acclaimed film What the Bleep Do We Know!?, he began to explain how the brain evolves - by learning new skills, developing the ability to concentrate in the midst of chaos, and even healing the body and the psyche. Evolve Your Brain presents this information in depth, while helping you take control of your mind, explaining how thoughts can create chemical reactions that keep you addicted to patterns and feelings - including ones that make you unhappy. And when you know how these bad habits are created, it's possible to not only break these patterns, but also reprogram and evolve your brain, so that new, positive, and beneficial habits can take over.

Priceless info.

There's so much great info. Helped me understand how the brain works and how it can be reprogrammed. You're going to want to listen to it a few times to fully grasp all the great information given in this audio book.

Life changing....the puzzle comes together

Would you consider the audio edition of Evolve Your Brain to be better than the print version?

I am using them hand in hand because I learn one way through my ears, and another way through my eyes. I became conscious of this by listening to this very book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The main character in this book is ME (YOU). I took every word as if it were written for me personally, to help me live a better life.

Which scene was your favorite?

Though there are no "scenes" per se, Dr. Joe Dispenza explains everything so clearly and there are diagrams to refer to (PDF download available at the beginning of the book....essential!). I am not an academic nor a scholar and I understood every scientific idea because of the method of the writing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It wasn't possible as there is so much necessary information I had to turn it off and process it as I went along. I plan to re-listen to it soon, and read along with the book.

Any additional comments?

I am 67 years here, and my old thinking says" I wish I had heard this years ago". However, throughout the book, the author inserts personal examples and I realized how I knew so much of this already and had been using it through out my life here, only unconsciously. I did not know I could call upon these tools when I needed them! Now I know how to do that. It will take work to completely remake my habits and attitudes, but by just listening to this book, it has already gotten into my brain and my brain has changed for the better. I feel calm and confident now, and so compassionate towards myself and others. I recommend this book to everyone, especially if you think everything in your life is just fine.

Life changing possibilities.

I have read many self-help books. Most are laden with trite positive statements and generalities. In Evolution, I believe the formula and science is provided in order to create real change through the process of plasticity and mind-alteration of brain. No qualms are made with regard to the immense work required but it is evident that in awakening the best in ourselves, the investment would be worth it.

Powerful book

The book started slow for me with many chapters of anatomy but picked up when moving into neurochemistry and neural wiring. Setting the backdrop, he clearly shows why we struggle to change how we CAN change our wiring with practice. Really powerful info for those who want to change! Very practical guide. I also liked the voice, tone and cadence of the narrator. Very easy to listen to and follow. I will definitely be going back over the last half of the book again!

Excellent narration

Became a little weighty and listening while driving made me rewind a couple times. However the subject matter and narrator kept my interest. Lots to ponder.
