not a bad book, but narrated poorly

What disappointed you about Evil Women?

I was not a fan of the monotone narration. There was very little varying in her tone, and that made it difficult to pay attention to. I wish I had read this instead of listening.

Truly the A to Z of evil women

I would like to recommend "Evil Women" for all fans of the true crimes genre. I was pleasantly surprised to learn of cases I wasn't already familiar with. Among the myriad of bad girls discussed include Australia's Kathleen Folbigg, who was convicted of murdering her infant children. Susan Smith, who murdered her sons in the hopes of facilitating a relationship with a wealthy man. Susan Wright, convicted of murdering her husband in 2003 by stabbing him a mere 193 times. Marlowe also includes the backstories for serial killer Aileen Wuorno on her murderous path to death row, Nannie Doss, "Lady Jane" Jane Andrews, Audrey Marie Hilley, and many more.

Interesting, well put together collection but a few downsides

Great collection of tales, some infamous characters along with many I had not heard of.
As others have mentioned, the narrator’s tone is quite monotonous. I got used to it eventually.
I can only give 4 stars because it is impossible to find a particular story when the chapters are not named. I guess Audible is at fault here..
