Story
FBI analyst Kassidy Bishop is assigned to the "'For You' Killer" task force after a series of sadistic murders bearing the same signature arise in different parts of the country. The homicides are both calculated and savage, occurring in different states, but bearing the same signature: the words "for you" scribbled at each crime scene. The case chills Kassidy, bringing back memories of her own encounter with a violent criminal five years earlier.

I loved it
- By Colette M. Cummings on 10-06-18
Publisher's Summary
Private investigator Lizzy Gardner believed in law and order once. But after losing a loved one to a killer and watching too many vicious predators game the system and walk free, she's traded flawed justice for perfect vengeance.
Together with her tough and trusted assistants, Lizzy is tracking down a list of Sacramento's worst offenders and dealing out the payback they deserve. But she may be lethally outmatched by a new criminal, a murderer the papers have dubbed the Sacramento Strangler. This ritualistic serial killer is dropping corpses and cryptic clues at a shocking rate - and he's growing bolder and bloodier the longer he's at large.
In the suspenseful finale to the Lizzy Gardner series, bestselling author T.R. Ragan's gutsy heroine lashes out against the relentless onslaught of evil as she desperately fights to hang on to her own humanity.

What happens next?I don't want this series to END!
Any additional comments?
This was/is such a good series but I didn't get the feeling of completion. I know the description says this book is the finale BUT I still got the feeling that there was unfinished business. This story has an awful lit going on, two mysteries being solved and personal inner turmoil with all the main characters. Lizzie gives up the PI business and I can't say why without giving away something but it looks like someone from her inner circle will be taking it over. I also just don't see her just walking away. All I can say is if you like this series so far then this one will not disappoint you. I would not read it as a stand alone because there is a lot of background that fill out the characters.
Highly recommended.

The best, and final, novel in a wonderful series!!
T. R. Raran ended the Lizzy Gardner series with Evil Never Dies which is the best book in an excellent series. At least she indicated in her end notes in the Kindle version that this is the last book in the series unless she changes her mind.
As with other books in the Lizzy Gardner series this novel is set in Sacramento and the cases include serial murders. Evil Never Dies has more complexity than other books in the series. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Evil Never Dies and all six novels in the Lizzy Gardner series.
Narrator Kate Rudd is, as always, outstanding.

Evil never stops, even in the end!
I will start this review out with a notice to all readers, I will include spoilers from the previous book in this review, but not for this book. You have been warned.
Lizzy Gardner has just taken a devastating blow with the loss of her fiance, Special Agent Jared Shane. Her way of coping with the loss is to become a vigilante along with her assistants Haley and Katalie. Word has spread on the street about Lizzy's “undercover ops”, and Detective Chase isn't happy. The question of the day is, will Lizzy straighten up before she crosses the line?
In response to how the previous book, Almost Dead ended, WTH?! You killed Jared! He was a main character, how could you! Do you have any idea how hard it was to write a review for that book when it left me speechless?! I am so puzzled right now as to how I should feel, it's insane! I'm so used to my HEA's (happily ever after) that I NEVER expected the author to do this, EVER! And don't you dare blame this on me by saying I set myself up for it by expecting an HEA! I've said my peace, lets move on...
Despite the fact that this series is dark, and demented, I truly loved it from beginning to end. Lizzy has been able to form a family out of misfits that ended up being more trustworthy than her own flesh and blood. Haley especially had grown so much from book one that you would have never believed her to actually go on a date with Tommy! Or that Katalie, the bomb making troubled girl, becoming a great P.I. in her own right and loving it. I couldn't have asked for a better ending had Jared lived! I'm so sad to say goodbye to the gang, but this was the last book in the series. The door was shut but not locked, so there is always a chance for another...
Narrator Review
Kate Rudd delivered another great performance! I am sad that this is the end of this series, but I hope to come across Kate again in other audio books. Good luck Kate!

<br />Wonderful and Sad, but an excellent listen
I certainty hope this isn't the last of Lizzy Gardner and her girls. Hopefully there will be a new edition with Kitali, Haley and Tommy. I just hate it when the end comes to any series. It's bittersweet, in this book because there was loss and life. Good managed to triumph over evil, at least for the moment. Can't wait for the next installment from T.R. Ragan and Kate Rudd who did an outstanding job of giving every character their voice and personality. Excellent job all around. Thanks for the ride. JPW

Great novel! Glad There’s A Happy Ending
The entire Lizzy Gardner series is well written and full of twists and turns. There are stories within stories, all written well and executed nicely. Although you can read each book independently, I highly suggest that you start from the beginning. There are prior events mentioned that would make the story line even more enjoyable. T. R. Ragan is an excellent author; I highly recommend anything she writes. Kate Rudd nails the different characters, changing her intonation between male and female expertly. I enjoyed listening to her characterizations.#Book6 #LizzyGardner #PrivateInvestigator #PI #SerialKiller #GreatNarration #Thriller #Suspenseful #HappyEnding #tagsgiving #Sweepstakes
