Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke Continue to Surprise and Succeed!
As an adult I was gifted with one of Mary Higgins Clark’s first bestselling mysteries; if I could remember who presented me the gift I would inundate them with more gratitude than they could endure!
That initial gift spurred my search for everything written by Higgins Clark; from her first short stories, to her books, and especially the magazine once published under her name. I wish that magazine still existed!
When Higgins Clark began her holiday collaborations with her daughter, they were delightful as a new way to enjoy the author I’d come to love.
Now, with Higgins Clark pairing with other authors how I wish I were one!
Curious at first about her pairing with Alafair Burke I admit I was skeptical the same “magic” I felt from her solely authored books would change. I never should have worried a bit!
This new book “Every Breath You Take” in the Under Suspicion series kept me hooked from the first word!
I highly recommend this book, these authors, and I am ready for the next in the series right now!
