"My love, speak to me. Tell me everything.” Neferet went to Kalona, kneeling before him, stroking the soft, dark wings that unfurled loosely around the immortal. “What would you have me say?” He didn’t meet her eyes. “Zoey lives.” Neferet’s voice was flat, cold, lifeless. “She does.” “Then you owe me the subservience of your immortal soul.” She started to walk away from him. “Where are you going? What will happen next?”

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Publisher's Summary
Don't miss Evermore, the first book in Alyson Noël's number one New York Times best-selling The Immortals series. Enter an enchanting new world where true love never dies....
After a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, 16-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. Going out of her way to avoid human contact and suppress her abilities, she has been branded a freak at her new high school - but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste.
Damen is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy. He's the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head - wielding a magic so intense, it's as though he can peer straight into her soul. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers. And she has no idea just who he really is - or what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is that she's falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

Not Bad
This novel was mildly interesting. A little too much like Twilight, but I found the main character's backstory adequate. The narrator was very good. Not a great cross over for adults, but not a bad listen. The rest of the series is pure repetition.

Good, odd ending....
This was a good book until about the last 4 or 5 chapters. It was interesting, and had a mild romance, and about the time I thought things would get REALLY interesting, it just took a downturn. I am still a little interested in 'what comes next' for Ever & her adventures to come.....just not sure I liked the 1st book to go for the 2nd. The ending was a little weird, and while I like the unexpected - it fell a little short of my expectations.

Evermore Drama in the Immortals Series
Another good book in the Immortals series. It is complicated and layered, everything a Young Adult series should have without getting overly angsty. And I adore the narrator - she has a great voice for characters of this age.

heavy-handed authorial worldview
I love the fluid writing and the terrific, believable character voice. I have a solid, clear sense of the main character, Ever, and am rooting for her. The premise is creative and interesting. But the last quarter or so of the book feels more like an explanation of the author's worldview than a satisfying conclusion to the story I became involved in. I found myself turned off by the revelation about (and by) Damon; felt pulled out of the fun of the story and thrust into the author's religious/spiritual/new age perspectives. Too heavy handed...to the point where I didn't even care about the story anymore and didn't end up finishing. :(

Boring
Honestly I had high hopes for this book but it literally sounded like the author took bits of information from other stories and smashed it together. From Fallen where she keeps coming back and they are destined for each other, twilight when he is super fast and catches what she dropped, and a few others. Pretty disappointed. Narrator was super monotone and didn’t even try to have a guy voice which threw me off not knowing who exactly was talking at times. If you have read quite a few good fantasy books, don’t waste your time and credits on this one.
