Surprised...in a good way.

Not sure what I expected, but ended up having a lot of fun with this story. Original, creative, farty. What's not to like. Great narration as well. The last couple audiobooks had poor narrators. This was not one of those books. Recommend.

Funny Little Story

Okay so the cover picture caught my eye on this one, and when I read the title and saw it was by Justin Dockins (I've read one of his other books), I got really interested. I mean, who writes a book about a farting cat? In space? And it was only a couple hours long? I just HAD to give this one a read, even though I usually avoid stories this short (a 40 hr epic fantasy book is usually my cup of tea).

The story itself was not all that involved and seemed like it could have been just a few chapters out of a larger book. I would really like to have more of the story of the two brothers. I mean, we get a bit of Everett's background story, but not a lot about his brother other than where and why he ended up where Everett found him. I would like to see the story continue with more adventures between the brothers. I'd also be interested to know where they came from and how they were separated - there are so many questions! And while the cat does fart (and OMG I just about died at the sound effects!!!), it's actually not a huge part of the story, considering that much of it tells how they got into the situation they find themselves in at the beginning of the story, and during most of that time Everett doesn't have the cat yet.

Anyway, this was a great short story that I would totally recommend. I hope the author writes more stories about the brothers and their adventures!

The beginning of a cheeky space opera

This is the fun beginning of what seems to shaping up to an epic humorous space opera.
In particular, I liked the depiction of the AI, and the quality of the narration. There is not nearly as much toilet humor as the title would suggest, and all of the jokes are inoffensive if that matters to you.
The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was finding that the story is to be continued. There is already a second part available, which I will check out at some point, although I prefer to hear while stories at once.

great fun

At first the title kept me from considering reading this but glad I overcame the prejudice. This is entertaining in the same way classic space opera is. Imaginative, and intriguing world-building, without descending in stultifying dialogue. You can see the formula and enjoy the ride at the same time. Comfortable, like a blanket cover with cat hair.

Great for a quick listen/read.

First, I have to start off by stating that I got this book free of charge in exchange for a review, but as I always state, this does not in any way impact my review. My reviews are always honest and my own.

I loved the characters, the clever patter and the"don't take yourself too seriously" attitude this first story projects. The perfect companion for a vacation drive (it even relatively kids friendly), I look forward to more adventures for Everett and his motley crew.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book. It was enjoyable and the plot was pretty good. It was quick and it was well paced. I think my biggest issue with the book was actually the title, especially as the titular feline wasn’t even a major part of the book.

Great times!

Great story; lighthearted and full of sci-fi fun. The narration was on point, and we really enjoyed the characterization and emotion! Keep 'em coming!

My Flatulent Feline doesn't do that!

I currently have a couple ( ok, a few ) multi book series that I read passionately. Justin Dockins just added another series that I will now have to follow. The development of the storyline was fast and furious and kept me interested right up to the end. For whatever reason, I guess maybe because I started the series out this way, I feel that it is best that I continue this series with the Audible version. Phillip Church's narration is as much a part of this book as Justin's writing. Nicely done and a must get for anyone who likes this genre.

Serialized Silliness Starts Here

I'm a bit too young to remember the great, radio serials, but this delightful back story about a pair of brothers, an AI with more personality than most and a cat alien with a mean side made me nostalgic for Flash Gordon and those other serialized space operas from a bygone era.
I loved the characters, the clever patter and the"don't take yourself too seriously" attitude this first story projects. The perfect companion for a vacation drive (it's even relatively kid friendly), I look forward to more adventures for Everett and his motley crew.
