Publisher's summary

Single dad Andy Shaw loves his job as a sports agent, with one exception: it doesn't leave him much time for his kids. No parent likes being sidelined, so Andy decides to hire someone to share the workload. But when one of the hottest agents in the industry applies, Andy knows that this deal is definitely trouble.

Danicka Douglas works her butt off, but being an attractive woman in a testosterone-heavy industry isn't exactly a cakewalk. She guards her professional reputation fiercely, which means no crushing on her gorgeous boss. But the more they ignore that sexy little spark, the more it sizzles...

Just when it looks like romance might be in the game plan, Dani is threatened by a stalker with dark intentions. To keep her safe, Andy must cross the line between professional and very personal...because this time, he's playing for keeps.

Andy is a keeper!

A touch of suspense, some quirky friends, cute kids and a lot of sizzle- my kind of story! This was my first book by the author & I can’t wait to read more. Narrated by my favorite ear candy, Christian Fox was the icing on the cupcake!

ENJOYABLE... BUT SADLY A BIT TOO BLAND FOR ME

Andy was the perfect single Working Dad - loving, caring, supportive and so fed up of missing out on the milestones in his adorable kids lives... so something had to be done and that's when the beautiful, talented, strong, independent and sexy Danicka (Dani) came into his life. Andy's a successful Sports Agent and he hired Dani to share the workload at his Company and, as soon as he saw her, he knew he needed much much more than just her business resumé. Since Andy's divorce his main focus has been his kids and his work but not his sex life so Dani had to be special to awaken his dormant desires.

Dani is also a successful Sports Agent and, as soon as she starts working at Andy's Company, she feels right at home.... and her super friendly super hot boss is a breath of fresh air in a cutthroat industry - but he's also a temptation too. All too soon the chemistry between them sizzled and is obvious to onlookers - but Dani fought the attraction for all the right reasons - but passion eventually won out and it was the start of something big.

However, someone was stalking Dani and the threats were getting worse... until finally they weren't just threats anymore. This brought Dani into Andy's home life where she saw how he doted on his kids, was the perfect Dad, the perfect man and love blossomed. However, a devastating attack on Dani brought things to a head and they had to find out just who was responsible and why they were doing it. There seemed like there was only one suspect.... but was there more?

This was an easygoing romance that had some angst as Dani fought her desires . The build-up to Dani and Andy's romance was a bit too slow for me but it laid the foundation showing what a great Dad, friend and Boss Andy was as well as the struggles Dani had in a testosterone filled industry. Andy's a good guy - a very likeable Hero who hasn't got a bad bone in his body and his friends were all likeable too. When Andy and Dani finally got together the interactions between Dani and Andy's kids were sweet but the passion and sex wasn't very memorable. When the threats on Dani's life became a reality, there was a dose of drama and a sniff of suspense... until the cruel instigator proclaimed "it was me" and all was finally revealed. Dual POV's and great narration.

Worth a credit? This listen was only $7.34 so I didn't use one - saving my credit for a more expensive listen and it was a reasonably good buy - but I think I would have been a bit disappointed if I'd used a credit on this.

This book kept me interested from beginning to end. It wasn't predictable like alot of books and all the characters were likeable.

luv it!!! Christian Fox is an awesome narrator.

This was a great story...made me laugh a lot...I luv Christian Fox, I could listen to his voice all day....He is a great narrator....The story was good the only thing I would change would be the motive of the ex-wife for what she did. it was a little weak and needed more..... but all in all good story. I would recommend it.

Continuation of the Series...

I totally enjoyed the Cranberry Inn series and was pleasantly surprised to learn more about the character of Andrew. During the series, him and his relationship with his wife is not depicted in the best light. It is clear that Andrew is a total workaholic and yet devoted to his kids.

This story focuses on Andrew and his firm - as he brings on a new agent to help to balance the load. This will allow Andrew the time he needs to be able to spend more quality time with his kids.

I enjoyed the story and I think that the narrators, Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers gave a worthy performance. I will have to check out the additional side-stories in this series...Viper's story will be next.

Cute and sweet

Well put together story. Andy is swoon worthy and the story had a great plot without being too ridiculous with all the typical angst.

Really good book and even better narrator

What did you love best about Even the Score?

The overall story is unique and you want to keep reading. The story is well written and the characters are well developed.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Even the Score?

The chemistry that comes through the pages between the two main characters. That's something rare in a lot of these books.

Have you listened to any of Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not yet, but I'm in love with Christian Fox. He has a very masculine voice that lends to the overall feel of the book. This is one of the first books where the male and female parts are handled by their assigned genders. Most are one narrator which looses some of the feel of the book overall. This one isn't like that.

I feel that Lucy Rivers did a good job as well. My overall impression was drawn more to Christian because of the double narrator,

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I read it as well.

Any additional comments?

This one had no track issues and flowed easily
