Captivating

This third book in the Immortal Highlander Series was Evander’s story. Some of this story was so heartbreaking, not only because of what Evander went through but also what Rachel did as well. They were so right for each other and their story was captivating. Once again there were scenes with the undead that I had to fast forward, however I did enjoy the majority of the story. I must say the author did have me close to tears near the end of the story! Willian MacLeod never disappoints with his exemplary narration. He always makes the listening experience so enjoyable and is able to take us into another world. I look forward to the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am providing an unbiased review.

Loved it

Hazel Hunter fast became an author that I loved reading because although some of her books are short they are great reads that holds your attention for the whole book or series.
Tharen was a great addition to her Immortal Highlanders Series and like most books if you’ve read them you should have enjoyed them but sometimes listening to a book you’ll pick up on things that you missed. This is sometimes due to the narrators infliction of tone or even the way a word is said. This series is truly amazing and the narrator has done an amazing job on this book.

Beautiful story

Adventure, romance all delivered through an eloquent brogue that sends one to a land far, far away...escapism for a time from ones day to day task... at least it was for me. I recommend this title and the author in general. Happy Reading!

Ground Hog Day

I will not generalize. I will keep this to the three books I have read. The plot, a woman on the verge of death gets dropped through a time portal to a place where a group of well-endowed men fine them and they fall in love. There are repetitive love scenes and by repetitive basically all the same and the author probably used copy and paste to add to the story. There is magic, immortals, battles with the undead all is very trite.

WTF This Book Is Horrible

If I could give zero stars I would. The plot is nonsense and the performance is horrible. The narrator is the worst, he cannot do a female voice to save his life. I give this book zero kilts!

Loved it

Rachel came from a very rich family and loved both her parents. She lost them both in a fire. when their killer goes after her she ends up in the past.

Evander is now a wanted man by the people . He ran away with his mistress fiona but in his escape he killed one of his clansmen.
Now he has found Rachel. Can two damaged people heal from betrayal? What about his clan man. Oh and then there are the undead Romans!
I loved this. So many twist and turns it will make your head spin lol. Great characters that you can't help but fall for. I couldn't put it down. I am hooked and can't wait for the next book to come out!

Outstanding!!

Outstanding story! I love how Hazel Hunter takes broken characters and develops them! I can't wait until the next story comes out!! Don't hesitate on this one! I love this story and have read the book myself. I wasn't sure how I would like the book read with a male voice, but it was fantastic!

Will she help him stop hating women?

Hazel Hunter continues the immortal Highland Series with the story of the clans Seneschal turned traitor Evander and Billionaire heiress Rachel. You can feel the attraction and heat and growing love between these two as the get to know each other. Their story made tears come to my eyes when you witness the deep and true sacrificing love of Evander and Rachel. Their lives are intertwined and you realize before they do that they have a lot in common. Both are dealing with pain and hear ache in their pasts and are keeping secrets from each other. Though its harder for Evander since Rachel's druid powers make that almost impossible. As their trust and attraction grows they learn to trust each other and when they finally consummate their relationship there is no going back. Meanwhile they have enemies from both sides looking for Rachel Ingram. Evander knows he isn't the man for Rachel and tries to leave her with the druids but changes his mind at the village fair. When Rachel goes on a mushroom hunt alone and interrupts a couple making love because of what she learns from her powers. She makes an enemy who goes to the undead and the kidnap her. Rachel being kidnapped brings all parties interested in her together in one place for the battle to save her and the captive humans from the undead. But the tension isn't just the battle its also dealing with Evander's betrayal. Evander will do anything to save Rachel and she'll do the same. Once the battle is over there is still the problem of releasing the enthralled humans and Rachel from the undead leaders holding her. Evander and Rachel make the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone else. Rachel is brought back from the dead but coerces a druid into bringing back Evander. Diana, Kinley & Rachel form there own war council of three and want to go after the undead themselves. We also get a glimpse into what Great Plan the druids are executing. Just what are those magical beings seeing and conjuring up, only Hazel Hunter know and I hope she'll tell us all before she finishes the series. I'm looking forward to reading Tormod and Gavin's stories in the next books and also getting to know the all new line of Immortal Highlanders coming in the next couple of months.
