Publisher's Summary

How long did it take you to find your place in the world? For Ethan Walker, going through the motions of life, keeping his distance, and never getting attached has become the mantra he lives by. Success is measured by how many hours he can work and how little attention he can draw - that was, until he landed on Beau Bennett's radar. Until Beau, Ethan had never met a man who could get him to question his own logic and even consider taking a different path.

Beau Bennett knows exactly who he is. It might've takenhim some time to figure it out, but now that he's got his bearings, Beau has set his sights on the mysteriously sexy Ethan Walker. Pursuing someone has never been his style, but something is telling him not to give up, because the end result is going to be worth it.

Now that they've found one another, how long will it take Ethan and Beau to accept that their place in the world is together?

Ethan is part of the Alluring Indulgence series but can be read as a stand-alone book as well.

I actually listened to Beau first when a friend told me that it was this couples second book so I had to go back and listened to how they got together to begin with. Ethan & Beau are awesome! I loved how much they got each other once they opened up and let love in. Their story is not only sweet but it's hot too! I think sinec i already knew where things were going with them that this book just came across super sweet to me. This family all around is amazing! i wanna be a Walker ;)

The narration was great.

Weird narration

What did you love best about Ethan?

The story! This is one of my favorite books of the series.

What did you like best about this story?

The story!

What three words best describe the narrators’s performance?

Weird, the narrators switched around within a character. So two different voices or maybe three with one character I think! It was weird. If there was going to be several voices, they each should stick with one...

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

Any additional comments?

One narrator would be better,

Great story, confusing narration

Would you listen to Ethan again? Why?

Yes I would, it is a good story and the characters are everyday people you might know.

What three words best describe the narrators’s voice?

Too many narrators.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I really wanted to but it became a challenge, I had to give my poor ears a rest. It took a while to get used to the different narrators, but that is not the issue really; the issue is that the narrators (this audiobook has 3) didn't stick to one character throughout the book...Ethan's character was performed by 2 sometimes 3 different voices, same with Beau, Mr. Walker, Zane and the whole bunch (and there were a bunch of Walkers). Identifying a character by the narrator's intonation is critical, if they change randomly the listener loses track of dialogue’s sequence. Some people might be able to overlook this, but I found it confusing and distracting from a GREAT story.

Any additional comments?

Perhaps if several narrators are needed for a story, maybe each should identify a character and remain that character for the rest of the experience.

Hot M/M

This book had it all I laughed and I cried. I love how Ethan and Beau came together. Beau may have been the one to start things with a steely determination and Ethan was unable to deny how deeply and profoundly he was affected by the unwavering sexy man in hot pursuit. Ethan held on to his stance to form no attachments even with Beau, and Beau is not willing to simply be another meaningless encounter to Ethan. As both men fall in deeper with one another, they both must learn how to navigate the new and murky waters of what it would mean to be together. They learn together. They teach one another. And, ultimately, they are there for one another as they learn to let go of the past, heal and move into a new beginning. I loved how Ethan's family excepted him and loved him even when he thought that they didn't know and how they excepted Beau. Nicole has always given us great stories but I think this one takes the cake for me. The love between the two characters grows over a period of time and both of them are finding something in the other that they are missing in their own life. It’s beautiful. Having their own demons in their past they complete each other and truly help each other move on from their pasts and help heal each other. I cannot say enough about how much this book made me swoon and excited me. Oh it was just utterly heartfelt and emotional and beautiful and touching and life changing.

This above all: to thine own self be true

My Favorite Nicole Edwards Book, but a Tragic Narration

This is my favorite book by Nicole Edwards, and I was excited to listen to the audio when I saw it on Audible Escape... what a disappointment.

Tragedy:
They are Texans with no accent here. This makes no sense.

One narrator expressed a voice of a very old man.

There was no enthusiasm in the narration.

I could go on, but... trust me when I say go read the book and skip the audio. You’ll enjoy it far more. This narration might ruin it for you and skew your entire perspective on the book.

Amazing!!

This author really needs to write more M/M romance books. This book is fantastic. I’m adding it to my list of all-time favorites. Definitely worth a credit. I really hope to hear more from her.

My absolute favorite in this series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Nicole Edwards is one of my top three favorite authors and I absolutely love Club Destiny and Alluring Indulgence series. The range this gifted woman has is unreal and Ethan just proves how talented she is.
This book is sweet, sexy, and yet serious when it needs to be.
Beau and Ethan are absolutely perfect together and this is one of the top m/m romances I've ever read (and I've read many). Not to mention that we get plenty of Walker family which is always a plus.
The narration is mostly good but it seems that there was some editing done after the fact that doesn't always mesh with the scene. Since I love this book I'll overlook that - but I would have been more disappointed if I'd never read the Kindle version.

Confusing narration

I loved the story of Ethan and Beau, however the confusing narration spoilt the book. It’s a shame all the books are not redone for narration. Not sure why they turned out so bad as the stories are great.
