Obedience: a very unpopular topic in the end-times worldly church! Look in a bookstore, Christian catalog, or online: how many books are there on obedience to God and obeying his commands in worship and life? None, you say? Does that mean Satan is alive and well in the latter days, deceiving even Christian authors, publishers, and buyers that obedience is now old fashioned?
This book, Eternal Salvation to All Those Who Obey Him, from Hebrews 5:9, is a rare book of this century and the latter apostate days of the church. It honors God. It shows not only how obedience permeates Christian life but that we are saved by obedience to his commands. Jesus predicted many false teachers in the end-times, which became true. False doctrines like Calvinism, Antinomianism, once saved always saved, eternal security, etc., have taken over God's main theme in Holy Scripture - obedience. There are over 200 Scriptures in the New Testament alone on obedience. Is Jesus really your lord? Can you prove you love Jesus (John 14:15) and know Jesus (1 John 2:3-6) by your obedience? Will you really go to heaven as shown in the book of Revelation (14:12)?
We need a revival in the world to get back to the basics of Christianity and God's people. We must get back to the responsibility of man as God has commanded, and that is to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God! We must refute Satan and his false teachings in these latter days. We must learn the tricks and deceptions of Satan and make the word our final authority. We must know that Satan can easily deceive those who do not make God's word their final authority in life. We must obey God rather than man!

Or don’t expect to come into the presence of the Lord when you die or pass eternity in Heaven. That is Blauvelt’s message. His message continues…there is no such thing as once saved, always saved and women are being presumptuous in these times and damning themselves. Women should not dare to minister to men and are not the ones called on to lift up their hands and worship God. He also has grave misgivings about Calvinism which he goes into in detail.
Blauvelt’s message of obedience will not be a popular one in this day of the Sunday morning Christian. According to him, you must be ever vigilant and obedient in all things and at all times in order to receive the Lord’s grace. Prayers should begin with asking for forgiveness for sins, for sinners we continually are.
I think there is a good message to people of being Christian at all times and being ever obedient to the Bible’s teachings. There are plenty of people out there who believe they are saved because they go to church on Sundays but spend the rest of the week drinking, doing drugs, having affairs, and other sinful things. Hopefully there will be someone out there who listens to this message and understands the meaning enough to be saved. Blauvelt is as insulting as he can possibly be about delivering his message so I say this a little tongue in cheek. The way to have someone listen to you is to get them saying yes, not hitting them over the head with all of the ways they are failing and then tell them how to do things right. I see his point but at the same time think he might be guilty of the sin of pride.
The narration by Kevin Spalding was right on for this material. He was very straightforward and did not draw attention to himself or detract from Blauvelt’s message in any way. I listened to this audiobook on 1.5 speed and it seemed perfect for my ears.
I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Boom! in exchange for an honest review.
