Girl Power!

The Prologue was rough to get through, but continuing I got to see a woman take her life into her hands so she can slay her own dragon and she was courageous enough to get support when it was offered.

Loved it!

Even though I don’t like virtual voice, I still gave it a read. The overall storyline and plot were great. I just think it’ll be a better listening experience if someone actually narrated it. ✌🏾💙

I really like the story. I can do without the virtual voice. I would prefer the story be performed by real men and women.

I truly enjoyed this book this was a great story. I can’t wait to read more from this series of standalone stories.

Not gonna happen again!

As much as I hated that Adele had to live through what she did, she came out on the other side stronger and braver than imaginable. I love that Stefano was man enough to realize what he needed to do to win Adele and her “brothers” over. Her brothers, yeah they are something else! Love each one of them. Their reaction to Stefano first seeing Adele, was classic big brother!

Still not a fan of virtual voice, but I gotta take what I get.

Love the way she was accepted by these strong men and how they protected her even without knowing her past.

Wish that the story wasn’t a virtual voice recording. Usually I skip over stories that are but this was an easy listen and the story was well written for me to get over it. That is my reason for the four star performance.

The main characters

The narrator had no voice reflection for as far as projecting the emotions the characters expressed. There was only one tone throughout the entire audible.

Thankfully it was short and free

It was ok. Kinda cheesy. It seemed like an authors first foray into writing. The opening scene will definitely be a domestic violence trigger. The narration was computer generated 🤖🤢. Thank goodness it was short and free. I’m disappointed with the selection in the audible plus collection. Starting to wonder if it’s worth the 💰 💰 💰 💰

Horrible voice.

It doesn’t sound like it’s being read by an actual human being. The inflections are all over the place and they don’t make sense. Parts that are supposed to be emotional sound terribly unrealistic because of the voice and that’s just the audio. The storyline itself is so bare bones that it really is a forgettable listen.

Robotic at best

Virtual narration had no emotion, no change in voice tone especially for the men. I listen to the entire story to give virtual a try and to see if it would get better. It DID NOT! The narration made the story completely unrealistic, no emotional connection to the romance between the lead characters. Also, not enough romantic development between the leads.

Based on this. I will not bother with virtual again. I prefer when it’s two live, human narrators, a male and female.
