Captain Dan Williams is piloting a chartered 757 airliner from the United States to Le Bourget airport near Paris, France. The passengers are a Saudi Princess and her entourage of 20 returning from a North American holiday junket. Midway through the flight, the Princess’ trusted assistant asks to speak to Dan. She asks that the same airplane and crew take the Princess and entourage into Saudi Arabia after a five-day stopover in Paris because the Princess likes the plane and crew. Dan’s company is struggling financially and needs the business, if juggling the schedule will permit, he would love to have the work and spend some time in Paris. Dan contacts the company while inflight and they grudgingly agree to the change if the price can be set about five times the market rate for a charter and reposition flight back to Oakland, CA.
Unknown to Dan, there is another agenda. After two days in Paris, Dan is contacted once again by the trusted assistant. The Princess fears for her life if she returns to Saudi Arabia. Her romantic involvement with a wealthy foreign benefactor outside of Saudi Arabia has been discovered and the Royal Family is incensed. Now the Princess wants to go to a sanctuary country – but where? Dan is wondering if there is more to the story, and if the Princess is sincere. He can’t just take the 757 anywhere the Princess wants to go without approval, which would leak the secret. Or can he?
