Publisher's summary

Before World War II could reach its conclusion, the world suffered what could only be defined as a cataclysm. Now, Yosemite city stands as the gateway between two worlds and an equal power in the continent. Unfortunately, it’s surrounded on all sides by those who would love to see them fail: the empire in the west, a king to the east, and the tri-lliance of the wastes to the south.

Standing at the top of Yosemite is the warrior king Vince, a ranger turned city state ruler. Supporting him in his endeavors is his inner circle. With a firm grasp on Yosemite, Vince has solidified his borders. He’s gotten the army trained to an elite status. He’s given his people a peaceful lifestyle with an economy that grows year over year. Yosemite is well and truly prospering.

There is a delicate balance between nations in military and trade, however. One that is going to be upended with a skirmish in the lands of southern Yosemite.

The bullseye Vince had worked so hard to remove is back, and bigger than ever. All anyone can do now is prepare for the storm.

Warning: This novel contains adult themes and moral ambiguities. The main character is portrayed as a real person in an apocalypse and will not make choices that line up with society and cultural norms.

This story contains a harem and is an Adult Fantasy novel.

FUCKING SERIOUSLY RANDI DARREN

listen I'm not the type of asshole that's going to give you spoilers but here is a spoiler that everybody will enjoy Randi Darren is it fucking dick he writes a great three-part book series leaves on a cliffhanger and then shows no signs of continuing to write the wildway series even though this deserves at least two more fucking books especially when you realize that the wildway series and the super sales on Super Heroes series are connected and for some reason that series only has three books to even though there's no for these two writers to continue writing especially when it's going to make them money and I have become a fan who would do anything to get two more wild wastes books the series was fantastic I'm not going to give you any spoilers I'm just going to tell you to read it but also right Randi Darren and protest cuz he does the shit all the time writes a great book or a great three-part book series and does not continue and it's frustrating don't believe me when you're done with these books read Fostering Faust.

Loved it

Enjoyed another story in the Wastes. Enjoyed the crossover material from the author's other works. Narrator did an amazing job as usual. Looking forward to what comes next.

Out of the Park!

Randi Darren knocks another one out of the park with Wild Wastes: Southern Storm. I loved the way he was able to incorporate characters from his Otherlife series and William D Arands, Super Sales on Super Heroes. The Wild Wases series as a whole is a great listen as Andrea Parsneau does an extent job of voicing each character and incorporating the emotions and inflection of each character. You almost feel like your listening to a movie play out.

Wild Wastes: Southern Storm is a roller coaster ride with great highs and lows. Character development is elaborate and thought out without giving too much away. You get to infer how some elements of the store are playing out in the background. I highly recommend this series and for something lighter on the adult content, pick up William D Arands, Super Sales on Super Heores. You won't be disappointed!

A multiverse... really....

Spoiler maybe:
Let me say I loved the selfless hero trilogy, super sales and wild wastes but I enjoy them separately suddenly mashing all three together just feels a bit lazy. A story should stand on it's own, you shouldn't have to read two other book series just to get the whole picture of what's going on. This has me worried about the next super sales book.

Great story but way to much sex.

Like other reviews have said, the story itself is very very good but wow is there way to much sexual content.

Can’t listen with kids around, sex

I really enjoyed creativity of the story But I can’t listen with kids around or other key people around due to the very detailed sex.

ok, but....

more focus on the story...less on the sex. the sex is ok, but there is a really good story in there. the crossover with "super sale on super heros" is great.
