Enjoyed

I picked this book up from an Audible.com sale and listened to it while working on my book purses.
The narrator had a pleasing voice for both the male and female roles, which is often a hard task to accomplish. She also switched between English and a Cajun French accent fluidly. I was impressed.
The actual story line was great and kept you on your toes when you weren't wishing you were laying in Jack's bed. He is the perfect male dominate for Morgan's shy self esteem. (though I find myself wanting to know more about his partner in crime, Deke...)
I love that the main character is self conscious and stubborn about her needs because of her past relationships and that the author is almost speaking to the reader, telling them that its okay to enjoy reading the book. There were some twists and turns in the plot that I didn't see coming and it was a pleasant surprise. Most of the time books in this genre tend to forget about the storyline halfway through and just focus on the pleasuring, adding a short finish to the story as an after thought in the end.
I plan to read/listen to the next book in the series and would recommend this book to anyone wanting a fun steamy read.

The story takes a while to get going, but it does get interesting. It was a good listen one the story developed. The narrator was just so so. Not something I would start again.

Yes, it has a little too much sex but the sorry is great

Didn't care for the narrator. Narrators should research locations where stories take place and learn the regional pronunciation. Example: LaFayette.

Better Than Fifty Shades of Gray

I feel that this Audiobook is way better than Fifty Shades of Gray because I feel that Morgan character isn't an stupid female and Jackson isn't a crazy man. I've read reviews on about this audiobook and most people are mad at the sex. now come on! I enjoyed it because I didn't feel like it was through in my face like a lot of them can be and also what do you expect from this kind of book.

Ok... A bit of an eye roller

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. The story line was good but it was a little sappy and it seemed like the emotions were a little extreme. Also it was like shayla black was trying to describe and defend the a Dom/sub relationship. That got on my nerves. She kept repeating herself that it wasn't wrong or unhealthy. Yea I got that the first 10 times. I know the character was a reluctant sub but still....I want to read about the relationship not have the psychological factors explained over and over.

Would you be willing to try another book from Shayla Black? Why or why not?

Yes I've read other stuff of hers that I like but I won't be continuing this series.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was at the bed and breakfast when the main character gets taken by both men and has the final showdown with her stalker.

Bad motives bite you in the butt

This was a really good book overall. I hated the main male character throughout most of the book though. The sex scenes were very hot and the action/thriller portion made me happy too as it added more to the story than just erotica. I bought and listened to book 2 from the same series and liked that one just as much. If the rest of the series were available I'd listen to them as well.
