Book One of the Submissive Trilogy

More than 8 Million Reads Online

The first in Tara Sue Me’s seductive and scandalous series that has enthralled millions....

Abby King has a secret fantasy.

New York knows Nathaniel West as the brilliant and handsome CEO of West Industries, but Abby knows he’s more: a sexy and skilled dominant who is looking for a new submissive. Yearning to experience a world of pleasure beyond her simple life as a librarian, Abby offers herself to Nathaniel, to fulfill her most hidden desires.

After only one weekend with the Master, Abby knows she needs more, and fully submits to Nathaniel’s terms. But despite the pleasure he takes in Abby’s willing spirit, the Nathaniel hidden behind the rules remains cold and distant.

As Abby falls deeper into his tantalizing world of power and passion, she fears that Nathaniel’s heart may be beyond her reach - and that her own might be beyond saving....

Good but lacking

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

If it's on sale yes, but save your credit for something better.

Any additional comments?

There's nothing to make this book stand out. The male character isn't as dominate as I think he should of been especially in a book titled in this manner. Also, this is a trilogy, but at the end it doesn't leave you wanting more. Like I stated eariler, this would be a good one to get on sale. This is not a "WOW" book.

Typical Sub/Dom Book...Mah

This is a typical sub/dom book that did not really take you to the next level. The storyline was the usual girl wants dominant and dominant wants a new sub. Abby is inexperienced at being a sub and Nathaniel is going to teach her the ways. I did not really get their connection and it took a while to truly be drawn into the story. Nathaniel loses a bit of his Alpha male qualities for me and this messes with the chemistry between him and Abby. I did not like that he would not sleep in the same bed as her. It came across as cold and uncaring rather than him doing this to assert his dominance. I am glad that the book ends and you don’t feel like you have to read the next book. I am not really into reading the same book from Nathaniel’s perspective (which is the next book in the series). For that matter I am not sure there needs to be another book. I did not hate this book but it was jut mah for me. I don’t think I will be reading the others.

Great beginning, fell short in the end

Nathianel and Abby relationship is very dom/sub in the beginning of the book. I totally loved it. It was actually quite perfect. A great dom/sub plot and storyline. All the event that happen int he book until like halfway through are perfect then everything takes a slight curve and Nathianel lose some of the dom qualities I think. I get it when a dom falls in love with thier sub, but if they are truly a dom... keep that quality throughout.. I hate to see a book lose that one aspect just to fill that I am so inlove with you stigma. It is really hard to do, I understand, and not many authors can do it. This was perfect until that one scene when Nathianel total copped out.... The end kinda of came rushed after that... I just don't see why this is a trilogy. It ended well enough to me, unless the next book is about another couple, because Nathianel and Abby's story is over at the end of this book.

A credit not a buy.

OMG I LOVE THIS NEW SERIES!!!!

OH Yes! Nathaniel West is so FSOGish. I love it! Abby was not an Anna but knew exactly what she wanted and and got it. There was the Best PowPows that I have read in a while. I was hooked from the beginning and was sad when it ended. I glad that book two is coming out soon and already preordered. :D The storyline was good and the narrator rocked all the voices and brought each role to life. So happy I got this book for my audibles collection. Buy this book or use a credit trust me its worth it. Happy Listening!

Carbon copy of 50 Shades

I couldn’t believe this author...which came first, Tara Sue Me or EL James? The entire book was a carbon copy of the first 50 Shades of Gray. Too bad.

Better than I thought 1

Where does The Submissive rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

On a scale of 1 - 10 I would say 5

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Abby's friend Felicia because she was out spoken and showed true love and concern for here friend.

What about Angelica Lee’s performance did you like?

She was good, expressive and brought the character to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Powerful story of BDSM

Any additional comments?

I don't usually like romance or in this case erotic stories but I decided to give it a try after reading Fifty Shades of Grey. This one is much better then "Luke" and "The Club" I thought they were terrible. However, I still liked Fifty Shades of Grey much better.

Grabs you from the start

Would you listen to The Submissive again? Why?

Probably not. It isn't something I would listen to over again unless it was a read for the book club or something.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Submissive?

I don't have a memorable moment. I just liked how the book gets into the story from the start.

Have you listened to any of Angelica Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me want more and want to know more about Nathaniel. I quickly started book 2 right after.

Interesting...

Any additional comments?

This was an ok read for me. It's your typical Dom/sub relationship book. I really don't have much more to add.
