Publisher's summary

I had everything a woman could want...

My husband, James. The house on the lake. My life. Our perfect life. And then Alex came to visit.

The first time I saw my husband's best friend, I didn't like him. Didn't like how James changed when he was around, didn't like how his penetrating eyes followed me everywhere.

But that didn't stop me from wanting him. And, surprisingly, James didn't seem to mind.

It was meant to be fun. Something the three of us shared for those hot summer weeks Alex stayed with us. Nobody was supposed to fall in or out of love. I didn't need another man, not even one who oozed sex like honey and knew all the secrets I didn't know, the secrets my husband hadn't shared. After all, we had a perfect life. And I loved my husband.

But I wasn't the only one.

Not as good as others by Megan Hart

I enjoyed "Tempted". However, it did not meet my usual expectations for Megan Hart's stories. The characters were not as well developed, the story was a bit shallow. I do enjoy anything written by Ms. Hart and this was no exception.

Erotica and Storytelling, this is both

What made the experience of listening to Tempted the most enjoyable?

A well developed story, characters you wanted to know more about, wanted to understand. Revealing how life events shape and define us. This story is really a coming of age for Anne, James and Alex. Of Anne finding her voice and inner strength. Of James understanding that love can transcend the barriers of gender and bonds and facing that truth. Of Alex falling in love, unknowingly accepting and then realizing the cost and price to be paid. All thrown together into a large melting pot with family dynamics of mothers, fathers and siblings All having to make choices. There is erotica and there is storytelling, this is both.

What other book might you compare Tempted to and why?

I love good storytelling. my choice: Elizabeth Lowell's Medieval Trilogy Untamed, Forbidden and Enchanted.

Which scene was your favorite?

When they went to wonderland

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

no tears or laughter, but lots of thoughts of choices.

Any additional comments?

look beyond the erotica, read and feel the characters.

Great story, but not my favorite Hart story

I love Megan Hart's ability to weave characters together in a way that makes you feel their pain and their longing and this book is no different. I knew midway through this book that there could be no happy ending for the 3 main characters but that didn't keep me from wanting one. This book is an amazing read that will pull you in two directions and keep you wanting more and feeling the pain of Anne as she struggles at being in love with two men.

Good Romance Story

I enjoyed this audiobook. I listened to it on my commute to work and back and sometimes didn't want to get out of the truck when I got home. It's a typically 5 and dime romance, with a few steamy scenes...Although don't buy it if you are offended by dirty language.

Engaging

Very enjoyable storyline with a few twists and turns, and the character development was very well done. The love scenes were steamy and descriptive too. I recommend this one!

Not my cup of tea!

Thankfully, I got this on sale. I don't know what I was thinking even so. Other than sex, NOTHING happens in this book. I was so tired of the woman's internal monologues and her sisters and mother. I almost quit listening multiple times. The narrator did a pretty good job. I gave this 3 stars instead of the one I think it deserved because this is not my usual genre and I don't feel it fair to give too low a rating to a genre I really dislike. I guess that genre would be called drama, but I'm not sure. I must steer clear of this stuff in the future.

Perfection

I love Megan Hart's stories, and this one is among the top two books she's written that I love. I also loved "Deeper" and for much the same reason. Ms. Hart has such a knack to combine the sexy with heart and depth. This story moved me so much and continues to resonate with me days after I've finished it. Now that's a good read.

Another Sizzling Story from Megan Hart

I loved the story!!! You really feel for Ann. She doesn't really know what she wants until she gets it. It's a very sexy story of how relationships evolve and change. And how these changes can question your very existence. The author's characters are deep and likable. Alex and James (the good guy and the rascal) are the kind of men almost all women desire.

Another great book by the author. It's must read for all romance/erotica fans!!!

It's what I expected

If what you really want is a steamy story with more of a plot than a Penthouse would provide, then you won't be disappointed. The dialogue was trite and a little cheesy at times, and the plot was more than a little far-fetched (has anyone REALLY ever had a houseguest like this???). But that's what makes an erotic fantasy, right? Plus, I applaud the author for addressing a serious matter like alcoholism to bring the story back down to earth here and there. Overall, I enjoyed it for what it was... and it may have inspired me a little too! I'll listen to Megan Hart again.
