Publisher's summary

It's easy to talk sexy in the locker room or powder room, but much harder in the bedroom. People often get tongue-tied and embarrassed when they try to talk honestly about sex. According to sex therapist Dr. Barbara Keesling, nothing is more exciting than talking sexy to the one you love and having him or her talk sexy to you. The right words can start a fire, and the wrong words can put it out. This program is for anyone who wants to heat up his or her lovemaking. You'll learn to ask for what you really want and to say how you really feel, and discover a more enjoyable, fulfilling, and electrifying love life.

Not for everyone

I am a guy and was hoping to get from this the psychology of certian words or phrases to use or avoid. I thought it would be for guys too because of the description saying "This program is for anyone who wants to heat up his or her lovemaking" and I guess I read into the description saying "The right words can start a fire, and the wrong words can put it out." From my perspective, a woman can say pretty much anything to a guy and get him excited. She could read a recipe and as long as she's using a sultry voice and touching him... she's good to go. Women, however, tend to be more sensitive to the actual words and will read into them big-time, so having an idea of how to not put my foot in my mouth would be very beneficial to me and I assume to other guys too.

Instead this seemed to be written for women that feel they need to build up the courage to talk dirty comfortably. Not at all what I was looking for. The description should be changed so as to not mislead people.

Good book, but one problem

This is a cool book for people to experience. The only thing that I don't agree with is that she writes this in the direction for women, but how do you know that it is not the man who needs this book as well?

Talking Sexy

What made the experience of listening to Talk Sexy to the One You Love (and Drive Each Other Wild in Bed) the most enjoyable?

Being able to mentally picture the lessons in my head as the author was going through the different steps.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Talk Sexy to the One You Love (and Drive Each Other Wild in Bed)?

Separating the nouns, verbs, and adjectives that can express how you want to say something and being comfortable doing so.

What does Barbara Keesling bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The verbal tones of how to project your voice through the exercises made a huge difference for visualizing what she was saying.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, because I can now go back and focus on the main points that I want to review and kind of know what to expect more with each time when I listen to it again.

If I could rate lower I would

Really save your time and money. Go look in the mirror say vagina repeatedly and any other name you can think of. Over and over and over. There I gave you the book for free.
