NO WAY THIS IS THE SAME SERIES I WAS INTO!!!

What did you like best about Revealing Us? What did you like least?

The best I can't say cause it would be a spoiler. There is so many things I disliked about this book, that I don't have enough room. I am so disappointed in this. How can we wait this for this. REALLY?

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The entire book was almost painful to listen to I cannot get over the stupid things Sara does in this book. I sat it down so many times saying I think I got the wrong book. There were small, and I am saying that to be kind, that were good, but not many

Which character – as performed by Grace Grant – was your favorite?

Grace Grant is good, but this performance almost, and again being kind here, almost changed my mind. She could not even change in between different person's as she normally does. Grace is on of my fav's to listen to. But in this.. She is way off.

Do you think Revealing Us needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I don't know.. I want to think that it does, but so scared that LRJ will cause me to just not want to ever listen to anything about Chris and Sara afraid of what she will do to them.. This was not her work from the other book, that's for sure.

Any additional comments?

I don't know about the other followers of this series of books, but the author was on a roll. So much so I could not wait until this came out. But it died a slow death. I keep saying "Oh come on,, start telling me a story here" It was hard to hear how Sara became brain dead at times. She was a bright, smart, and sometimes I would question the things she did, but in this one..OMG..she was must of hit her head heading to the airport to meet him on the way to Paris. And he changed also. Not as bad as she did, but a different Chris, but I expected that. I just don't want to say anything about this, I wanna keep the last thing they said to one another in my head and hope there is a HEA and leave it alone. This is by far the worst tag on to a series of books I have listened to so far. So upset at what she did and what the big secret was that he said would destroyed them while in California. Oh come on. He could of told her that in a night of sharing more than some of the things he did very early on. Yeah, for me to go forward on this, she really has to redeem herself (the author) in order for me to pick this back up.. I am hurt on this. Once I have had enough of a story or I think it was destroyed and trust me, this was ripped apart. I don't return to them.. NOPE, no good things to say about this.To me, it's not worth paying, and thinking right now, I would not of given a credit for this.. If another comes out and it will, cause of the stupid things that are going on that don't have a thing to do with Sara and Chris, I will watch and see what others say.. I can't be the only one that thinks she took one of the great top series and destroyed it.

Anti-climatic...ironically... Annoying Cliffhanger

What did you love best about Revealing Us?

Other characters... Like Chantal.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Finally the us dealio, the last bit in the Epilogue... Obvi setup for a new series, not really much of a draw, since the character setup was nil. I don't tend to care about 2 dimensional players and their fates...

Have you listened to any of Grace Grant’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, and she's okay... But she reads the character the same... Protagonist has the same dry drawl across authors.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Twilight melodrama for equally vacuous adults... NC 17.

Any additional comments?

Chris the male... Is so boring. The writing is more narrative then evocative... It's the demarcation between a good and amazing author... This is filler while doing chores but anything more than mindless activities will pull your attention away.

P.S. Sloppy attention to details are rampant. Ie. Chris has the same 911 in Paris? I don't recall mention of a dupe car, but shipping the one from SFO would be slow and silly, considering how wealthy he I supposed to be... Seems just dumb writer or sloppy editor.

Also... In the first book... Basic math seems to be an issue, he commission of 20% or 25% on a sale of whatever amount it was... Supposed to be 65K not 50K. Super dumb.

Enjoyable

This was a highly anticipated book for me and thoroughly enjoyed the book. The author has an amazing way with words. There is still relationship angst, mystery, challenges and hope throughout this book as was in the first 2 books.

The only things that would have made this better was to see Sara be more confident in her relationship with Chris, she was easy to second guess everything so I would like to have seen her with more conviction. I also wish this book was the wrap up instead of having to wait for book 4 & 5.

Life on the edge

I love this series. I'm not sure about the cliffhanger thing. I'm slowly getting used to them though. Characters are engaging. Both have troubles and secrets that threaten their relationship. Apart from the sex, there is a lot going on in the story. Always a question to be answered. Can't wait to see how this develops into TV.

THIRD Installment in The Inside Out Series-Great!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sure, but start at the beginning of the series. These are NOT stand alone books. You will be frustrated if you read out of order.

You've discovered Rebecca's secrets. You've discovered Sara's secrets. Now Sara will discover "his" deepest, darkest secrets... but will those secrets bind them together - or tear them apart?

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chris...who doesn't love a broody, sexy artist?

What does Grace Grant bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Grace Grant and own everything she narrates (especially the Beautiful Series by Christina Lauren). However, I was a bit disappointed in her French accent...fortunately they were minor characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Chris' secret was a bit of a let down. However, there have been three books about his secret I'm not sure how the author could have written a better scenario.

I'm glad that there is a chance for more to this series with 'Ella's' story but am also satisfied that Sarah's story was completed-no real loose threads (however more can be told).

Any additional comments?

NOT: Mature themes and strong language

Revealing Us

Where does Revealing Us rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would put it somewhere in the middle.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No

Any additional comments?

Well my reaction to this book is ambivalent at the moment. Let me first start off with my disgruntlement of a book touted as being the conclusion of a trilogy and then once again it is anything but. I am really becoming frustrated with authors who tout series to be concluded in a specific book then once the reader has purchased and read the book, you find out that it is not the ending after all. I do not mind series continuing on, there are many I do not want to end, but it would be nice to know this beforehand, it would actually change the reader's expectations.

With that aside, let me get into my feelings regarding the story. While I enjoyed it, it was not what I was expecting. I am still not sure what I was expecting but this one took me out into left field. Don't get me wrong it was written very well, though there was a little too much going around the issues Cris and Sara was facing, and it was darker than I thought but it was still a good story. The things I did not care for were the way they "&*^& around their issues instead of facing them. So much more could have been accomplished if they did that.

One more thing, though this does not just relate to this book and this author. I know I am new to reading the BDSM genre, but it is very frustrating and annoying that the characters who are living and practicing this lifestyle are always so dark and broken. Where are all the strong, stable people who are living and practicing this lifestyle? I find that insulting and stereotypical. So far I have only read two authors who actually have characters who are not so broken and have found this lifestyle through pain, betrayal or degradation.

Other than all that, I enjoyed the book but I am not sure yet if I will continue with the series. It will all depend on how far the author is planning on taking this series. This is more about me than the author, I was expecting closure and a little Happily Ever After, and that is not what I got, not even close, thus my disappointment.

This was a trilogy, it DID end, have no fear!

Many of us were disappointed to read the third installment of the crossfire series to discover the trilogy was being turned into a series instead of the trilogy we had been promised....in effect feeling VERY cheated....that is NOT what has happened here.

The Sara/Chris story DID conclude...um...for the most part, I mean all the hanging in the air stuff had a conclusion. The epilogue of this book wasn't about Sara/Chris it was about another character we have heard about...I think the next book will be HER story, and while it might come around to Sara and or Chris their story was concluded in this book.

Now, for my actual review of this book...still a master piece! You hear so many complaints about stories written for the sake of the sex scenes with very little plot...I have to admit I was way more interested in the plot, in the characters self discovery, in their internal dialogue! While the hot scenes were hot as always...the ability of the writer to really portray emotions and feelings and doubts in a way that made these characters alive, like I knew them, was just awesome! Sara is...well she is still Sara, she can't make a decision to save her life, literally! And Chris....ahhhhhhh Chris.....still swoon worthy and damaged, but we find out WHY he is so damaged, and I think he has earned the right to be damaged after hearing all of that....but he is still soooooo one of my favorite dominant males of ALL time....Gideon Cross (Cross fire series), Bennett Ryan (Beautiful Bastard), Travis Maddox (Beautiful Disaster), Gabe Hamilton (Rush-The Breathless Trilogy) round out my top 5!

For the most part I really enjoyed hearing the conclusion to the Sara/Chris story...I did however think at times that there was drama for the sake of made up drama and that is a pet peeve of mine, and it was a bit choppy at the end, almost like she didn't know how to end it, so it got 4 stars. The narration was awesome as usual!

If you haven't started this series (If I were you #1, Being me #2) then I highly recommend you start it already! Totally worth three credits, heck I would have bought them! Go for it!

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK !!!!!

Would you listen to Revealing Us again? Why?

Yes, has a good story line not just an erotic sex book but good story as well

What other book might you compare Revealing Us to and why?

Along the line of Fifty Shades but in a different direction more of what one can do to ones self rather than another

What about Grace Grant’s performance did you like?

She is great to listen to does men and women 's voice equally as well, I have enjoyed her in several books

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Lots of emotional highs and lows but not like other books have effected me and sometimes it is nice just to listen to a book that does not effect you to that level

A bit of a let down

Any additional comments?

After the first two books, which were fantastic, I thought this one lost it's momentum. We've waited for 3 books to find out what the big drama was for him to act the way he does and to be honest, I was thinking REALLY? That said, I would still buy the next book and as usual the narration was fantastic.

This Series Just Keeps Getting Better!

Another winner from Lisa Renee Jones, Revealing Us is the next sexy installment in the Inside Out Series. This story picks up after Being Me and should not be read out of order as the events in Being Me directly affect where Sara and Chris are at the start of this book. That being said, beware of possible spoilers below if you have yet to read this series. And if you have yet to read this series, what are you waiting for? This series is one of a kind and always keeps you on the edge of your seat with no idea what will happen next. These books are well written, sexy and have instantly become favorites of mine!
