I want a body guard like Logan!!

This book ties into the Marriage Diaries with the mention of the main couple. But after that transition, this is a stand alone book. Jillian invites Raina to the Players club. She books up with Logan thinking she will never see him again. But as all good stories go......Logan is assigned to protect her. They have a fast and heated relationship. Logan is patient and understanding of Raina and her hesitations. Raina wants so much to be with Logan but her past keeps her at a distance. I really enjoyed how sweet yet hot these two could be. I loved the patience and understanding Logan had for Raina. It was his understanding that helped Raina let go.

Lia Langola is such a wonderful narrator. Her voice is soothing and easy to listen to. She is the narrator for the Marriage Diaries as well, and never once did she use the same voice for the same character. Ms Langola truly brings the characters to life. I really enjoyed the story more because of her narration.

Great as a Stand-Alone or in the Series

This book is written with a great mixture of wit, humor, smexy scenes and angst. Narration is perfect and keeps you wanting more. If you listen to just one of theses books in this series you will get so hooked that you will want more. I purchased all the ebooks and audible upgrades in the series and loved them just as much. I highly recommend this series, author and narrator.

My Two Pennies

Hot damn, right from the beginning we're heading to The Players Club for the first time with Raina. For a woman that owns her own adult pleasures shop this experience was completely new to her and so was Logan the hot sexy alpha male that perked her interest and gave her a forever lasting experience. Clearly someone has an interest in Raina but they don't want to reveal themselves just yet but have no problem making her feel uncomfortable with messages left behind. This book is so much more then just going to a sex club, were given mystery, suspense and of course sexy scenes. I thought I figured out who our mystery person was right away and was disappointed thinking the rest of the book was going to be predictable but I was completely wrong. I absolutely loved this story from the beginning to the very end, I didn't want to say goodbye to Logan and Raina. Loved loved loved. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

SIZZLING HOT!

This book tends to have more power exchange than other books I've read, and that is a good thing. Raina is a strong, career-minded woman with a few hang-ups about men. Logan, alpha through and through, surprisingly, does not try to "break" her, but gently brings her out of her shell. By allowing her to have control sometimes, he creates a dynamic that works for them. I found that this type of relationship is more believable, one that I would even strive for. I wish, however, that the mystery was more developed, as this would have given the story more layers. All in all, it was a very good read.

Lia Langola narrates this story wonderfully. Her character voices were spot-on. In my opinion, a good narration, especially male character voices by female narrators, can really bring another dimension to the story. Ms. Langola does this.

I don't know about that. It dragged a bit.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Honestly I don't remember! It was forgettable but not horrible. I still want to check out the next book in the series but this one was just okay to me.

The kid.. I can't think of her name but niece was cute.

Could you see Playing with Temptation being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Nope..

No cliffy, thumbs up!

I think this was a light bdsm story, the narrator did make the characters come to life. I really liked. You can listen to it without the pressure of a cliffhanger, it's a standalone.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Playing with Temptation is a good listen . Raina the owner of an adult toy store has never had much luck with men. Jillian, one of her closest friends decides Raina is long overdue for a night of fantasy and has the invitation needed for just such a night. Raina visits The Players Club and a night to remember. There she meets Logan but leaves before they exchange names figuring she will never see him again. But that is just the start of the story.

Everyone should have a Logan in their life!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. Lia Longola, the narrator, immediately pulled me into this story. She has a very entertaining voice and is so easy to listen to and enjoy. She gives distinctive voices to the characters. You can hear how much she loves her work.

Erika Wilde, the author, has written a powerful story that has a great plot and character development. Both Logan and Raina have been burned in previous relationships and just are looking for a one night stand. But fate will put them together so they will be given another chance for love. I love the banter between the characters. Logan likes a submissive but Raina will not go down without a challenging fight. This made me laugh many times. Both characters have a strong group of supporting friends.

I highly recommend this Audible book. The author and narrator have created a tale that I will definitely listen to again. It was so entertaining to listen to this love story evolve.

Better than I expected

Yes. Based off of the books my friends like, I think they would really enjoy this.

What does Lia Langola bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lia Langola does a terrific job as a narrator. She keeps you engaged in the story. Some elements of this book did not appeal to me but the narrator did such a good job, that it overshadowed those things.

Any additional comments?

I did like this book. Im not a fan of d/s relationships but this was a minor blip in this story. I really liked the connection between the hero and heroine. Raina was hurt before and reluctant to give up any control to Logan but he was willing to wait for her to be ready. I think the who done it plot was kind of obvious but since it was just a trope to bring the hero and heroine together I was ok with it. Overall a good listen and worth a credit.
