Publisher's Summary

Mandy is content with her job as a librarian, her longtime boyfriend, Martin, and the lovely home they share. So what if their sex life is vanilla? She's not the wild type anyway.

But when she wakes up one morning—unsatisfied—from an erotic dream starring her favorite movie star, Mandy starts to crave sexual adventure in real life. Too bad Martin won't oblige, because it's not Tuesday or Friday. Then Mandy finds out what Martin's been doing the other days of the week—or rather, who. And suddenly she needs to prove to herself that she's not boring in bed.

Fortunately, there is no shortage of smoking-hot men willing to help her on her sensual quest: a nameless library patron who could be Brad Pitt's twin, a coworker she suddenly sees in a different light, and the neighbor who usually rubs her the wrong way wants to show her he can rub her the oh-so-right way, too! Lucky for Mandy, her lovers are more than willing to share....

Disappointment

Spoiler warning.... I was enjoying the book until one of the men she trusted date raped her. Her response was completely unbelievable, and even after the guy was stopped and tossed out- she has sex with him again!

Exploring her options and sexuality is one thing, but that was too much. I finished the book to see if she would confront it, but no. She was a doormat.

Ended up regretting the purchase. Really didn't like this book.

Hot, raunchy & fun

Yes, this is erotica, so if you don't like erotica, then you're not going to like this book :) But if you like erotica, then you'll love it! Lots of great sex, a bunch of smoking hot guys, and an interesting story holding it all together. I like the way main character struggles to come to terms with her new sexual awakening and what it means for the rest of her life--she's a woman I felt like I could relate to. Some of the sex scenes were a bit over the top, but that's one of the things I liked most about it :) If you like your erotica hot & sexy, then you'll like this one!

If You Want Trashy - This May Be For You

Would you try another book from Shelley Aikens and/or Mary Ann Baker?

Author-Probably not
Narrator-Yes

What could Shelley Aikens have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I really like hot, erotic books (Maya Banks, Lauren Dane, Megan Hart, etc.) but this one was a bit strong/intense for me - and there was no suggestion of a plot.

Mandy is content with her job as a librarian, her longtime boyfriend, Martin, and the lovely home they share. Which character – as performed by Mary Ann Baker – was your favorite?

Mandy-although she gave each character their own voice.

Did Overdue for Pleasure inspire you to do anything?

No, I won't read it again.

Any additional comments?

Intense sexual situations and A LOT of strong language

MEMOIRS OF A NYMPHO

Didn't realize this was an erotica, but it turned out to be more raunchy than racy. I like sex in a good storyline, however, this "story" was 99 percent sex with the same scenes written over and over again. I thought it was going to be about a woman breaking out of a dull life with the help of three sexy fairy godfathers (so-to-speak,) but it turned out to be about a very pathetic girl who could not say "no"...to anyone, anywhere, anytime. It didn't matter who the guy was, how he treated her, what belittling names he called her; just as long as she experienced her climax. I lost all empathy for her and just wanted this eye-rolling audio to end. I didn't think it could get any worse, but the "big bang finish" was so lame that my eye-rolls were in danger of getting stuck at the top of my head.
