Publisher's summary

Dr. Joyce Yards has never met anyone as sexy or as irresistible as 466. He refuses to discuss anything except getting her naked beneath him. Their therapy sessions are growing hotter, his raw hunger for her is becoming aggressive, and she is falling for him. Joy knows the dire consequences if she gives in to desire. It will break her heart but she must walk away.

Moon has been drugged. He is feral and dangerous to everyone. The NSO doctors turn to the only female Moon ever cared about - the one who left him in the desert two years ago.

Moon isn’t the same male Joy once knew but she is willing to put her life on the line for him. There are no rules now. If sex tames the wild beast and triggers his fractured memories, allowing him moments of lucidity, then Joy will give him her body and her soul. She’ll do whatever it takes to save him.

4.5 Moon Stars

I don’t know why but I always get Moon and Smilie mixed up I keep thinking Moon is primate species but nope he is K9 species.
Once I shook my brain in to submission (just kidding) it was all good.

I very much enjoyed that they brought in a new character from when they were first freed. We get to see a different side of Homeland and Species this way. It wasn't like poof your free here is your own space don’t hurt us. It took months and a lot of care to get them to where they are not.

I like that’s what I liked best about this book. It was also great to see Moon get his HEA. I enjoyed Dr. Joyce I hope they keep her at Homeland and get rid of the other head doctor he was a real TOOL. Yep I needed to state how much I hated that character.

Again, I’m loving the narrator she is amazing. Not only does she do multiple female voices but the way she makes each New Species voice sound so unique it blows me away.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Nice!

Moon.... Ah... Moon!

I remember he was such a sweetie from the other books... and no he is not 247...the book we are all waiting for....I though his best bud was someone else...not Harley... but whatever...

This book was great... quite similar to the other New Species books... but thank goodness no anti-NS people from the outside tried to kill Moon's Mate this time... just her own client!

It was a good progressing drama, with some hot smexing...

I still don't like Trisha... in any book... she is just a twat!

Totally worth a buy, credit or sale if you have invested in the other books...

Narration was great...

DID I MISS THE EROTICA ??? GOOD NONETHELESS

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

YES, but would recommend the friend begin at the beginning with Book 1.

If you’ve listened to books by Laurann Dohner before, how does this one compare?

I think I had too high of expectations for Moon, especially as the other books were so very tremendous. This one lacked the drama, romance and sensuality that the other books were so full of… also, this was placed in the erotic section in Coming Soon browser. I think I missed it somewhere.

What does Vanessa Chambers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think she gets better and better with each book and she has a real knack for keeping the voices consistent so that, for instance, Smiley's voices sounds the same throughout all of the books, as well as Tiger's, Moon's, etc. I always like hearing a good narrator rather than the one that talks in my head when I am reading. Good job VC.

Was Moon worth the listening time?

Absolutely, albeit somewhat disappointing.

Any additional comments?

Hope we don't have to wait too long for Harley, Flame, etc. and I hope they're on the same caliber as the first 8 books. This one felt rushed even though it seemed like forever that we, New Species fans, had to wait to listen to it.

Love this series....except for this one

I've loved every new species book since I heard the first one, but that came to a screeching halt with Moon. What a snoozefest! I was totally shocked. It's a given that all the New Species books have the same concept more or less, but Dohner has been really good about finding different angles to tell the same story. There's always humor, hot sex, etc. but this time around not only was there minimal humor, but the story in and of itself was just missing something. It seemed like a short story that was stretched to eight hours by adding random filler that should've been edited out. All that said, I do love this series and I will definitely buy the next book and many more from Laurann Dohner. She's a great erotic romance writer and the narrators of her series have been good. Despite my lukewarm review of Moon, this is definitely a series I'd recommend for the weekend listener looking for an interesting take on semi-paranormal erotic romance.

So Much Love for the NSO!

My love for New Species started way back in book One Fury and a body would think that by book 10 my love would have waned. That is SO NOT the case!

Ms Dohner is still keeping things fresh and interesting. Granted this book is not like the other books in the series because of the flashbacks but if you are fascinated by all things NSO then it is an interesting look into what happened AFTER they'd been freed from Mercile.

I CAN'T WAIT for book 11 True!!!

Moon - the Hot Joyful Prankster turned Feral !!

Any additional comments?

I have read all the books from this series and this is the first one the main characters have had sort of a relation/interaction before the main story begun. Moon is about Dr. Joyce Yards a therapist that was on a highly confidential mission to help the new species when they are just rescued. She is assigned to the very irresistible 466. 466 also later called Moon is a sexy canine/human who makes it hard for the doctor to keep their relationship professional. Their therapy sessions are growing hotter and hotter with each session till it breaks her up and Joy decides to leave before they can see where their relation can lead.

There is where the real story begins. Joy gets a phone call that Moon has been drugged, by an unknown drugs. his memory shattered. Now he’s feral and a dangerous threat to everyone. They ask Joy to help and of course she can’t resist..... Joy has always regretted leaving her old job as she had fallen so hard for Moon, she would of lost everything back then if she had acted on her feelings so had to leave.... There are no rules now. She is not his therapist anymore. Sex seems to tame the wild beast in Moon and triggers old memories to help him find his old self. The only thing she can do is help him and she is willing to try anything. Anything!

This is another fabulous Hot, Sexy and emotional installment to the New Species series. I enjoyed this book as much as the rest and felt so so sorry for Moon as he was always the happy go lucky and more settled of the New Species. I hope Laurann keeps these books coming, I'm ready for the next book NOW lol. :)

Another Great by Laurann Dohner

The 10th book already. Love this series. Laurann did it again with her stories. This one is again a little different from the other ones. This one is about Joy, a doctor, who unavoidably gets feeling for one of her patients, Moon. However, as usual, Moon doesn't believe her until he touches her and love hits him like a ton of bricks. Ms. Dohner does an excellent job of bringing you in and getting you hooked until you cannot put the book down until you finished it. Plus, she does a great job of giving you a little taste of the next book, so, if you are like me, you have the next book in your library before you are finished with this one. The narrator does an excellent job, as she has in all the other books. She does a great job of distinguishing the characters that Ms. Dohner so eloquently and completely describe. Love this series.

Love this series!

What does Vanessa Chambers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator is the reason that I have purchased every audio book in this series. The story is good but the narrator Vanessa Chambers makes this book a thousand times better!!! A narrator can totally kill a book and this is an example where the narrator just makes this book AMAZING!!! Great Job

Any additional comments?

If you are a fan of this series. Moon is another great addition to the series. Can't wait for True to be released on audio.

WELL, I WAS OVER THE MOON WITH THIS ONE

If you're already a fan of the series then this will be an auto download because you know what you're going to get..... a once caged, hot and very Alpha DNA altered half animal/human male finding, claiming and sexing his mate. But there's always plenty of growling and snarling going on because each storyline throws in lots of drama, intrigue, hot sex, action, threats and misunderstandings for the ever growing New Species enclave.

466 (aka Moon) has been shot with a toxic to New Species drug and his old Psychiatrist Joyce is called in to help him. 466 and Joyce were mutually attracted to each other however her ethics stopped her from taking things further. But now, two years later, her regrets, along with 466's mental instability puts his life in danger, which forces her down a very different path..... one that gives him plenty of physical as well as mental help.

Worth a credit? I love these books, yes they get a bit repetitive, but after a few weeks I'm rubbing my hands together eagerly awaiting the next one. This was a great story with some action, emotional and sexy parts however other stories have been hotter but that doesn't stop it from being a very creditworthy listen.
