Publisher's summary

In the tradition of classical romantic adventure movies such as Romancing the Stone and Casablanca, Synthia St. Claire brings you a novella-length, action-packed story where the sex is cranked up a few extra notches!

When Marie Brisbee, a thirty-five year old archaeologist and lonely-hearted romantic, gets news that her friend is in trouble during an expedition, she packs her bags and sets off to the tropical island of São Tomé to help her.

Soon, Marie finds her life filled with danger as thieves and deadly bandits alike try to get the only map that leads to a precious treasure.

Along the way, she meets a handsome thrill-seeker named Ethan McReady who shows her what excitement and pleasure really mean. Can the two of them stay alive long enough to find the treasure and recover the legendary Blue Star?

Romancing the stone redux

This was a decent story at a bargain price of less than 5 bucks, so you can't go too wrong... Well I take that back I've heard some got awful books at this price point, this one was passable but was literally a copycat of Romancing the Stone, an excellent book btw, with Marie taking on Joan's character and Ethan taking on Jack's, even had an Ralph type character, at the end I expected Eddy Grant to start singing Romancing the Stone!

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
