Publisher's Summary

Matteo Angelico, former Marine and experienced, longtime dominant, knows what he likes - sexy, submissive women who do what they're told and are willing and able to give him the control he craves. But he also knows what he doesn't like - the demands of a full-time dynamic and a committed relationship. He's happy to leave the flowery romance to his twin brother Dominic, and Dom's fiancee, Heidi. So why can't he get the one girl who wants it all out of his head?

Hillary Morrow has learned all too well that D/s relationships don't always have fairy tale endings - the last dominant she met online betrayed her trust in every possible way. But that hasn't stopped her from giving her heart away to the most commitment-phobic dominant in Boston: Matteo Angelico. When Matteo offers to give her the accountability and discipline she needs, she eagerly accepts, even when she finds herself taken across his knee.

As Hillary and Matteo's siblings plan their wedding, the two of them find themselves in frustratingly romantic scenarios but still manage to maintain a semblance of distance. However, when Hillary finds herself the target of a stalker, she and Matteo are thrown together and sparks fly. Hillary trusts Matteo to keep her safe from the stalker...but who will protect Hillary's heart from Matteo?

Disclaimer: This book contains the spanking of adult women and sexual scenes. Even though it's the second in the Boston Doms series, it can be listened to as a standalone.

Fabulous story

I enjoyed this story and the narrator was good. Worth a credit? It's a YES from me. All the characters were interesting, the plot, like the chemistry, sizzled and exploded into something wonderful.

Unexpected Like

I was only looking for a kinky smutty story, but OMG this book is so good! I found myself shouting out loud at the characters! Not only does this book have some hot BDSM it has a kick ass story that you'll find yourself more interested as it goes on. It's a sex crime novel all rolled into one.

Blistering hot spanking romance

This is the second book in the Boston Doms series and the two authors are on fire! Their writing is flaming hot and their enthusiasm glowing from every word. I'm smitten by the banter between Hillary and Matteo.

Narration ruins it again

I don't know if the authors have done something to piss the folks at Blushing Books off. clearly there's some bad blood.
The stories in this series are good, better than many in the genre. Formulaic, HEA books with hot scenes, but also providing reasonable character depth and a good mix of drama, humor and pathos.
But, while these books make a decent read, the narration in the audiobook is an absolute horror-show and makes enjoyment of them almost impossible. Painful. The only way I was able to get through them was to think of the reader a prompt for an actual narration going on in my head. And I did that much mainly out of a sense of support for the writers.
The reading is stiff, with bad, awkwardly timed inflection and elocution that makes it seem as if this is the first time the reader ('cause this *ain't* narration) of the audiobook has encountered the script. The narration in each of the books of the series is consistently bad.
This quality of the reading in this audiobook is a frank betrayal of the writers. It seems designed to garner bad reviews. Worse, however is that it is a giant "f**k you" tp the listener. Bad production values on the level of those in this audiobook show absolute disdain for the listener. Which is curious in a business where the listener or read holds the power over success.
So, the only thing I am left with is that the writers pissed Blushing Books off somehow, because these tracks feel like vengence.

Completely captivating!

WOW..that is how I feel after listening to this book. Matteo is the ultimate alpha male. I thought Dom was amazing, but his twin brother in the second book of this series has stolen my heart. This book brought all the things I love to it. It held the romance, the learning of bdsm with Hillary and Matteo but it also had a lot of suspense integrated throughout the storyline. The return of Marauder and his seek for revenge made this story intriguing to me. I love a good storyline to keep my interest, and this book delivers. We again get the incredible supporting cast(I love Slay, something about that man!) and Alice, along with Heidi and Hillary's crazy mom adding a little humor throughout the story as well.

Mister Plug(yes, that really is his name) narrated this book. A better alpha male voice could not have been picked for this book. Looking forward to book 3!

Narrator is awful! Story is just ok

The story is predictable and not as good as book one. The narrator is one of the worst I've ever heard. After literally hundreds of books I would avoid listening to anything he narrates.

Not bad

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator has a nice deep voice but doesn't carry that dom attitude off.

Any additional comments?

good story line. strong alpha male with a sweet submissive.

Excellent story, highly recommended.

The Boston Doms series continues, this time with Mateo and Hillary's story. I loved his protectiveness and his struggle with his feelings and Hillary's feistiness. The supporting cast of familiar characters enriched the story and the suspenseful element kept my attention till the very edge.

I'd read the book before and the narration added an extra dimension to an already wonderful story.
