Perfection

If you enjoyed book 1 & 2 then hold on to your seats and be prepared to be blown away by book 3. This one is told in both Brynne and Ethan's POV and it was simply amazing! This is how you write a good trilogy, with the possibility of making it a series. Questions get answered, loose ends get tied up and the main couple get their HEA. If the series ended now I would be completely satisfied. Of course if it continues I will be more than happy since I am so in love with Ethan. Wow! Raine Miller has cooked up one heck of a man.

Overall this was my favorite book of the Blackstone Affair. Absolute perfection.

So Purrrrr-fect

The perfect listen for me. I just LOVE Shane East!! The combination of Raine Miller, Grace Grant & Shane East is pure ecstasy for my ears. Part 3 does not disappoint. (I would advise to get part 1 & 2 if you haven't already.) It's one that would get way more than 5 stars from me! Well worth your credit. I will advise that this series contains strong sexual content that may melt your earbuds. Enjoy!!

Captivating From Begining To end

Raine Miller you have rocked my socks once again!!!
What can I say? Ethan Blackstone has become an iconic book boyfriend. When he was introduced to us in Naked, he was hard, closed off and sexy as hell. In All In, Raine Miller showed us the vulnerable side of Ethan. It made us want him even more because not only was he still sexy as ever but you want to hold his heart.
In EYES WIDE OPEN, Raine pulled out all the stops. She made Ethan Blackstone the ultimate book boyfriend. There isn't a thing that women everywhere wouldn't do to own his heart were he to be real rather than fictional. This time we saw his filthy, dirty and hot as all get out side where you wish he were buried inside of you and never leave. We got to see his vulnerable side and this time much more so than the last two installments. He pulled at your heart that you would do anything to take on his pain and relieve him of his demons. There was still hard and edgy Ethan whom you knew meant business and that he just didn't play around when it came to keeping Brynne safe. But aside from all of this, Raine Miller added another layer; another dimension to Ethan and it was this side of him that has me wrecked and putty in his fictional hands. She showed us an Ethan who is so warm, compassionate, caring, playful and endearing.
Holy hell pin me down with those hands that command you to do his bidding. Rivet me with the intensity of those blue eyes that tell you so much and are a window to all that is Ethan. Consume me with those words that speak of everything that his body cannot and that promise you forever.
The story--the suspense and thrill of it was fantastic and held you captive. I did not want to put it down. Raine Miller had your `spidey senses' tingling throughout the last half of the book. She added more layers to the story without rehashing things into boredom. There were more dimensions not only through the characters but through the story as well. She brought secondary characters to the forefront a little more which added to the depth of the main characters. The continuity of the story from the second installment to this one was seamless.
Another aspect of Raine Miller's writing that I absolutely love is her attention to small details. Especially when there is a suspense/thriller aspect to it. You find yourself having these light bulb moments when you realize how these little details all came into play in the big picture of it all. Simply brilliant!
There is so much more that I want to say about EYES WIDE OPEN but that would mean giving you spoilers so... you'll just have to listen to this one to see what has me ramped up and high on Raine Miller and Ethan Blackstone.

Can Raine Miller get more original please?

Any additional comments?

This is 50 shades of stealing storyline. Here are the commonalities. 1) The girl's father has an accident 2) he has a housekeeper that cleans and cooks for him and freezes food for him 3) she is a great cook and likes to cook for him. 4) gets a book as a present from him. Oh yes, an early edition 5) He has issues in his past that has made him who he is now 6) she gets kidnapped 7) He wants her to have his name 8) she gets pregnant 9) he tracks her using her cell phone 10) he buys her a house. Not impressed at all.

Shane East is the only AMAZING part about this entire book. A sexy voice as hell AND he does an amazing job.

Absolutely Divine!

Don't read any further, just get this book! Ethan is one of the best male characters EVER, and the passion between he and Brynne ignites even more in this book. Things continue to come together from the previous stories, and I really hope there is a fourth book. If there is a fourth book, i am eagerly anticipating it. Raine Miller has a devoted fan in me!! I love the humor, I ADORE these particular characters (especially Ethan), the storyline is wonderful and the narration was phenomenal. Shane East really knows how to make your ears purrrrrr with satisfaction. Get it! Get it! Get it!

Not bad, but very predictable.

Naked was way too short of a book, but it did grab your attention. I felt like All In made Ethan seem like an obsessed stalker, the whole book was Ethan constantly wanting Brynne and having sex really not much plot till the end, by the conclusion of All In I had everything already predicted for Eyes Wide Open so I wasn't surprised at all in this book. The series has two narrators which for the most part works, but I really disliked Shane East's American female accent ( Brynne's voice )...I thought it was completely terrible.

Any additional comments?

Brilliant writing and perfect narration has combine to make one wan't More More More. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. It has everything one could wan't in a steamy hot lusty romance full of love. Not sure what to listen to next as not sure anything can compare and keep up with these amazing books. Many thanks to Raine for writing such a penetrating story. It went straight to my soul and feed it until full. :)

Blackstone Affair Trilogy

What did you love best about Eyes Wide Open?

I enjoyed the directness and frailty of Brynne and Ethan's characters and the extended family relationships.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Eyes Wide Open?

Loved the references to the lion fish and the horror of the Afghanistan experience.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved Ethan's playful streak with wee Zara, after a lot of sex, it was refreshing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I needed to know how the story was going to finish.

Any additional comments?

I thought that Grace Grant and Shane East were fantastic narrators. It was nice to hear a rich Alpha male voice. Bring on more true male voices !

Enjoyable

I can't say I loved this book for a few reasons. It ended and I felt there were still some unanswered questions. It ended quickly and I was looking for a epilogue to give us a glimpse into the future. Overall the book was good but I can't put my finger on why it was not great. Maybe I am just over critical but since starting this series I have read other series and feel that this one is just lacking a bit. The narrators were ok. I agree with others that the Shane East has a great male sexy voice but his female voice is a bit irritating. Although I like Grace Grant I find she reads a bit fast and so whenever I start her books I need to get accustomed to her speed then I don’t notice as much. She does a good job of acting the story and not just reading it but still there is something. Sometimes she sounds like she has too much saliva when she talks. Ok maybe I am really being picky but that is what I thinking deep down. Would I recommend this book? Yes. It is enjoyable and the three books make for an enjoyable listen. I would read something else by this author in the future.

It's over :-(

I'm happy to report that this is a trilogy that was actually completed in 3 books, unlike some other trilogies lately that when the third book came out it was called the third in a series.... Grrr, yes I'm still bitter Mrs. Day!

Anyway, great trilogy, everything wrapped up nicely, but not too nicely, it flowed well. We had some highs we had some lows and we had some fights, physical and mental, but every character stayed true to themselves and no one did crazy things to advance the plot so this book gets 5 stars from me! There is room for more books with different characters and I do hope we see these people again.
