Publisher's summary

For a year, Abri and five other women have found themselves trapped on a lonely planet, after their shuttle crashes on its way to Ulsy. They have fled Earth and the fiery rubble it has become. The crash has left Abri deaf and hurting with her aloneness. When sound becomes nothing, her other senses heighten, especially when they encounter two huge, handsome aliens.

Raiden has seen human women, but on his planet, females are few and far between. He and his warrior mate Cace can't believe their good luck when they stumble across six of them on a deserted planet. The little deaf female, Abri, catches Raiden's heart the moment her essence seeps into his skin. He must have her. Their healing waters or his shield will cure her strange malady once they have mated. Or will it?

Good but mundane for me

This one was decent but a bit mundane. It may be that it is running its course. I will finish out the series.

Alien looking love ❤️

know Cobra is trying to assist his warriors, but he gets on my last nerve. Abri watches her parents die while escaping a dying earth then gets injured in the crash to an alien planet. One year later, all her other senses have been enhanced so that she and the other 4 women can survive the unknown dangers that surround them. Then all heck breaks loose when the Castians and the Tonans show up. She meets Raidan, Doss’s brother and Cace his warrior partner. Now back to why Cobra gets on my nerves, he has the nerve to get an attitude when Raidan partially heals Abri. But Abri gets the last laugh!

Fun read!

I enjoyed this book. Time fairly flew as I listened totally caught up in it. The reader did an excellent job.

Struggled to Finish

The premise for the story is great, but just so superficial you don't get the sci fi feel after a bit. I got lost in the why so and so can shield so and so and the immediate way someone "figures out" oh, it must be because........ UGH. I had to survive the narrator and how they voiced Cobra, but the story really slogged for me. Trying hard to finish this series but it's getting tough.

An example of how narration can ruin a story.

It is not that that the narrator is not skilled at his craft but miscast. He is overly dramatic throughout the tale even where the drama is not needed. A lot of his vocalizations of both male and female are not appealing such as the Castilian leader Cobra throughout this series. I really can't judge the story itself as I DNF at Chapter 6. I may end up just trying to read a print version.
