Taryn Blaze is the reigning queen of rock-n-roll. They said she couldn't be tamed. Armored with her diva persona, she keeps the world at arm's length and under her spell. If she lets her guard down for a second, the dog-eat-dog world of rock-n-roll would devour her and spit her out.
Derek Abrahms is hired to protect Taryn's floor, but for him, it's a second chance to win the girl of his dreams from high school. Except the beautiful girl next door and band geek he fell in love with is now the world-famous Taryn Blaze and the ultimate diva. How can he possibly bring back his high school crush?
This has to be the worst book I've ever listened to. Between the 30 minute sex scene, the horrible story line that just drops you, and the monotone narrator, I was very disappointed. I've lost several hours off my life that I can't get back because of this horrible audio book. (And I use that loosely) don't waste your time or money on this piece of junk.
What did you like best about Divalicious? What did you like least?
I liked it when it ended. I disliked the whole story.
Would you be willing to try another book from Brindle Chase? Why or why not?
No, her writing style is not for me.
How could the performance have been better?
If the narrator didn't make it apparent that she stopped at each period.
Do you think Divalicious needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No, I have had all of these characters I need for a life time.
Any additional comments?
I know I am in the minority but I can't believe this book is getting 4 and 5 stars. I would give it a 2.5. The story is unbelievable, the characters fall in love in the span of an hour and don't even get me started on the press conference. Like I said I am in the minority here but I think if this is a 4 and 5 star book then I need to stay away from these short stories.
