Unexpected

😷 Dr. (B)Ridge Cooper and his wife, Dr. Jen Cooper (I presume) split apart after a tragic accident that left them both with the terrible loss. As divorce looms, an unexpected twist force them back together. Will they become more than roommates that satisfy their basic instincts? Will Jen forgive him? Or is there anything to forgive?

This is my first experience with Teddi Sterling narrating. I am VERY impressed with this 5 star performance (I rarely award 5 stars.) I will look for her work in the future, as she is a tremendous vocal performer.

This short story does contain a lot of material intended for mature audiences only. Descriptions of sex.

Although *I was provided a copy of this novella in exchange for my opinion, the reader should know that I really enjoyed both Rhonda Lee Carver's writing and Teddi Sterling's narration. I intend to look for and add both of them to my Wish List for future entertainment – that is something that rarely happens.

Enjoyed listening to this book

I enjoyed listening to this book and listening to the narrator.some of the story of the male part was unrealistic but over all very good.

i enjoy listening to this, great characters with a emotional journey. looking to reading or listening to more books. Rhonda is a great writer and gives you gret characters threw out the story

Hot, sexy, and fun

Second chance romance? Yes please. I'm a sucker for a couple fixing their relationship and this book does not disappoint.

There's chemistry - lots of chemistry - and lots of emotional stuff going on.

It's beautifully written and made me laugh and cry.

The narration is excellent, great character voices and a delivery that drew me in and helped me love the characters.

Sexy but also a little heartbreaking

Great narrative by Teddy Sterling, I really enjoyed listening to her.
Good story that had lots of feels to it, but my lawd some nice steamy parts as well.

Hot yet emotional

If you are looking for a short read that is fun and has real life situations, this is a must listen. Rhonda Lee Carver has written a story about two doctors, Bridge(ObGYN) and Jenn(Sex Therapist) on the brink of divorce. Much like normal couples, they have had their ups and downs but have not been able to get passed their downs. This book takes you through their difficulties, tragedies, mistrusts, happiness and incredible chemistry in a way that is hot, sweet, passionate and emotional. You will fall in love with this couple!

I love narrators that I listen to for the first time and love. Teddi Sterling performs this book, and her voice has all the qualities perfect for this story. You can feel Jenn's pain, Bridge's frustration and all their emotions through the entire story. Her easily discernible character voices make this book an easy, enjoyable listen. I will definitely be looking for more of her narrations in the future.

Emotional second chance at love story

Rhonda Lee Carver did an excellent job with this story. Jenn and Bridge's pain and struggles were poignant and as a reader I was so happy they got their HEA. Teddi Sterling's narration was a definitive plus.

This was a quick and steamy second chance romance and I really enjoyed it! Fantastic narration and great romance!

Short, fun listen with some vanilla sex scenes

First off, this CAN be read as a standalone book, even though it's Book 2 in the series. Dirty as Hell was a quick, moving listen. Jenn and Bridge are on the verge of divorce. A tragedy in their past has driven them apart, and although they do love and want each other, they haven't been able to overcome what happened in the past. Then...something unexpected happens that throws them back together. Will they stay together or will the past keep them from what their heart wants?

This was a solid listen for a shorter novella. It was a complete story and I didn't feel that there were any parts that were rushed through or overlooked. I didn't quite get why Jenn was so standoffish and crappy towards Bridge, but had no hesitation when it came to sleeping with him, which I found a little odd though. Teddi Sterling did a great job narrating and I had no problem differentiating between the characters. There were a few fairly graphic sex scenes, so if this isn't your thing, then you might not enjoy the novella as much. It wasn't constant sex though, so if you don't mind, don't let this deter you from listening. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.
