Absolute Decadent Indeed!

I am hooked and want more!

Well worth the credit for sure! The only thing missing was the "Batteries Not Included" warning in the description of the book! This one was Hot! Hot! and HOTTER!

I really do hope there is more to come in this series!

Yes, but that would be giving a very good part away and I would not want to do that.

I would just advise to get all three books in the series and listen to them!!!!!

Narrator completely ruined this book

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator! She sounded like a little girl. Honestly, I couldn't finish this book because I couldn't stand to listen to the narrator.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The story line was good. It was enjoyable to watch Deke struggle with his emotions.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

With the menage subject matter it was creepy to hear this little girl voice describing the events.

Do you think Decadent needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Don't know because I couldn't finish the book.

This series could be very HOT but the narrator completely ruins it. Black is a good author and I enjoy reading her work. This is definitely one I wished I had gotten as a book instead of an audiobook.

I would definately recommend this book to a friend. It is well written, keeps your attention and is very erotic.

If you like the 50 Shades of Grey and Bared to You series, you will definately like this book.

I have listened to Lexi Maynards performances of Shayla Black's first book in the Wicked Lovers Series and she does a wonderful job of performing the voices and bringing forth the characters in the books.

everything unfolds slowly

The plot of this book should have led to a book no longer than 3 or 4 hours. Even the sex scenes were drawn out so as to be barely exciting. I liked the characters and their interaction should have been riveting, but simply dragged on and on.

let me start by saying i was shocked when i started reading this book, my public library offers the first book in the series for audio download. Based on this i didn't know this was erotica. When the story started i was blown away, the scenes were intense and the story over all was unexpected. i did enjoy the book. i would read more from this author.

Menage for Virgins

Once again, Shayla Black almost wrote a really good book. Luke and Deke (cousins) were both fun and sexy. Kimber (tom boy nursing student) was refreshingly different from the typical lead female character - spunky, funny, strong. The problem: this intelligent, educated woman "wants" to learn about ménage so she can please an immature rock star that she hasn't seen in 5 years. Kimber "wants" to save her virginity for a childhood crush but "needs" to learn how to participate in orgies (since all rock stars do it), so she trusts 2 men she barely knows to teach her about oral and anal sex. What the hell? Please don't write a smart adult female character then have her do something only an immature teenager would think is a good idea. As always, Lexi Maynard was excellent as narrator.

Good story ruined by the performance

Would you listen to Decadent again? Why?

I just listed for the second time. It has been a while since the first listen and I was sparking my memory before started the third of the series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I like both Deke and Luc, but enjoyed Luc more. He's got the good boy and bad boy all rolled into one. I'm looking forward to reading his story next.

Would you be willing to try another one of Lexi Maynard’s performances?

I will try others - only because I want to get through this series. I really enjoy the stories.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The most extreme reaction I had to this book was Kimber's voice. Lexi made her sound like a YOUNG teen girl and it was truly disturbing! I had to keep reminding myself that the men in the books were not pedophiles.

Definitely a keeper!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I'd highly recommend this book. Not only does it have hot sex scenes, it has well-rounded characters. I was able to identify with the situation and empathize with the characters' personal issues. It's not just erotica, it's erotica with a plot and believable story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not only did I want to listen to this in one sitting, I began the book again as soon as I'd finished it! Once was not enough.

I'd listened to the first book in this series, Wicked Ties, through my library's audio download service. Not only do I plan to purchase that book, I can't wait to pick up the rest of the series.
