Publisher's summary

The man who pimped Jeff may be in prison, but Jeff is still living the nightmare, selling himself to men and relying on pills to manage. Then he meets Scott, a young American man who could easily have been where Jeff is now. Scott's friends extend a helping hand to Jeff, and he grabs it.

Leo and Thomas bring Jeff to stay with Dom Damian Barnett until they can find him someplace more long-term. Still grieving from losing his sub to cancer two years before, Damian agrees to help. But when he glimpses the extent of the damage, Damian wants to do more than offer his guestroom. Jeff is not a submissive, but Damian can see he desperately needs structure in his life. It's up to Damian to find an answer.

I recommend this one for fans of the series

Any additional comments?

this is not a D/s book but a Domestic Discipline book. What's the difference? The story does a much better job explaining it than I ever could, but DD doesn't involve scenes or a Master/sub relationship. Instead, the focus is on rules and consequences, on one person making decisions for both people in a relationship.
When Jeff comes to stay with Damian, he is a broken boy. If you've read book 3 about Scott and Ben, you'll remember Scott is lured to England by a prostitution ring with a fake story and picture. That picture was one of Jeff, whom Scott eventually sees on the street.
Damian and Jeff's relationship does not begin as a sexual or even a romantic one. Initially, Damian, who is 29 to Jeff's 19, is an almost paternal figure to Jeff. He serves as a keeper, a mentor.
If you haven't read any of the Collars and Cuffs book, start with book 1, as this is not a standalone book.

Had difficulty connecting to characters

I had a great deal of difficulty connecting to the two main characters. I felt like the author was in consistent with the cadence of the plot. It was like a completely different author wrote this book as compared to the rest in the series.

This book was OK but not really the best one of the series

Being the last book in the series puts this one in a tough position. Much of it is predictable after reading the other books. The domestic discipline as opposed to BDSM in the earlier books was the only change otherwise it was the same story as most of the other books a dominant more secure older guy helps a younger guy who is in trouble to find his way through his problems and falls in love with him. It was a nice touch at the end to wrap up all the books by having all the main characters from the other books in it for a surprise wedding.

Very emotional.

This was a very powerful book and filled with so many emotions that I couldn't stop listening. If you like beautiful man romance with hanky panky, hot sex, sad traumatic stories, and a show of how love can conquer many obstacles then listen to this book. Truly wonderful.😊

Beautiful Hurt/Comfort Romance

With the way the novel starts I was expecting Damian's Discipline to be a tragic hurt/comfort story. Well, I was so glad with the uplifting message of hope and recovery and love! Jeff suffered in the most horrible way, but his ability to keep his chin up, continue looking forward, and never give up made me so happy the whole way through.

Even though we know Jeff and Damian are going to eventually make a couple, the slow-burn of them getting together is very satisfying. As I've come to expect with the Wells/Williams collaborations, Damian's Discipline is more about the emotional connection between the couple, as well as their personal growth.

There are still plenty of gorgeous erotic scenes, and you won't be disappointed. The "discipline" refers to DD, or domestic discipline. This author duo does a fantastic job of incorporating into this novel, and seeing how DD shapes the relationship between Damian and Jeff is beautifully done.

Fans of the series will appreciate the appearance of other characters from previous novels, but Damian's Discipline can easily be enjoyed as a standalone.

Jeff and Damian

Damian's Discipline is book 5 in the Collars and Cuffs series. This book has some sensitive subject matter and might not be for everyone. Jeff has been abused and is still living a destructive lifestyle when he meets Scott and his friends Leo and Ben. After accepting help Jeff is placed with Dom Damian until something more permanent can be arranged. Soon it's clear Damian doesn't want Jeff to leave and he has to figure out a way to help him, to help them both. Theirs is a difficult road but I love how they don't give up one each other, trust goes both ways. This is an enjoyable story and I recommend this book and series.
Narrator Nick J. Russo does a fabulous job. There is so much emotion he but in this book.

Brilliant Story🎧📚🎧 Riveting & Emotionally Moving!

K.C. Wells continues to wow me with another amazing novel set in her “Collars & Cuffs” series. She is a gifted author and master storyteller and writer, she creates stories that are interesting and realistic, I love how much heart she puts into her work. I also love this wonderful world she created in this series as well as the characters, they are also realistic and easy to relate to. I found this book just as captivating as the others and just as emotional. Jeff is only 19 years old, forced into prostitution by the evil Curtis Rogers left him broken. He is barely surviving and the only thing that helps him cope with life is the pills he buys off the streets. With the help of Scott and Ben, Leo and Thomas sets him up with someone who will help him, give him a place to stay until they find a permanent solution. Damian, a Dom has been living alone since the passing of his submissive, Oliver takes Jeff in for the time being. It was heartbreaking to watch Jeff struggle, he lost his trust of all humans. I adored Damian for his patience and understanding and how well he handled Jeff, even during his slip ups. He goes above and beyond and knowing a normal D/s relationship would not work with Jeff he found an alternative, discipline and in time it worked wonders. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautiful story that is brilliantly plotted with plenty of drama, heartfelt and emotional moments, heartbreaking ones, some angst and a slow burn, falling in love romance. K.C Wells & Parker Williams, thank you for another brilliant story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Nick J. Russo is a wonderfully talented narrator and voice artist. He is perfectly casted to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. His portrayal of each character is perfection, making them his own and sounding just as I picture them to sound. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen🎧

Keeping up the HIGH standard 👍

K.C. Wells Collars and Cuffs series is such a great read/listen, one book is better then the other. This one is keeping up with that high standard!
It's about a boy abused and lost in doubt discovering his true nature. And a man changing his whole life, finding new ways to help him.
The narration of the audio is even adding a new level to the story, getting it even better!

Wonderful slow-burn, hurt/comfort love story!

Heartwarming, touching hurt-comfort romance! I loved the writing style and slow build-up as Damian steadily gains Jeff’s trust. The younger man has gone through some truly horrible things, and finds it hard – and understandably so - to believe that Damian, basically a stranger, is willing to help him so much, without expecting any kind of payment in return. I love the warmth and support that is so much a part of the world of the Collars and Cuffs characters, and it was wonderful to see Damian and Jeff grow closer. Damian doesn’t expect to fall for Jeff and fights his attraction because the timing is less than ideal as Jeff is still trying hard to heal and find his way. One of the (many) things I loved about this story is that Damian is willing to learn too and set out on a new path that Jeff and he can walk together. There’s a lot of sparks, and some hurt feelings and misunderstandings before Damian and Jeff finally get together in a cathartic, marvelous scene. Like all the other characters in this series, Damian and Jeff are well-rounded MC’s, authentic, and utterly lovable. Their emotional connection goes deep, and their journey towards a HEA is well-thought-out and sensitively written.

Narration: Nick J. Russo is an incredibly talented narrator, and he brings a warmth and a certain serenity to his performance that resonates extremely well with Damian’s character, but he also manages to convey the turbulence of Jeff’s emotions and the younger man’s vulnerability. I very much enjoyed listening to his narration of Damian’s Discipline, and liked all the distinct voices he did for the entire cast.
