Broken (Unabridged

This was my first Audiobook and I wasn't sure it could hold my attention. It did in fact!! I found myself caught up in the story and couldn't wait to listen to more. It is very erotic and, well, let's just say my husband enjoyed the fringe benefits!! It is also a very beautiful, complex story that truly brought out a range of emotions. Any women will appreciate the author's well written verses on the desire to be wanted, loved, and to find happiness.

If you're sad, be warned it will make you cry.

I was really just expecting smut to be honest, considering it's on Audible Escapes. But was surprised with a complex web of character development that made me binge listen the whole thing. It's a little problematic, but definitely better than other books dealing with similar subject matter. The sex scenes were fun and almost jarring as they came right after the absolute heartbreaking sadness over and over, an interesting teeter totter. I would recommend it, but like.. maybe not to my mom.

Good Book

What did you like best about Broken? What did you like least?

Broken was a good book that I would recommend. It didn't have the really happy ending that I wanted, but I don't think that in that situation there really could have been. It did leave me feeling a little sad.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Hard to say without giving too much of the story away. I probably would have ended it after Joe came to Sadie's house, but I can see why she didn't. I just like books with happy endings where you know everyone is going to live happily ever after and you don't really know that with this book.

Have you listened to any of Wanda Fontaine’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Haven't listened to any other of her books before.

Do you think Broken needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I would like to see a followup story. I feel like I am really missing out on the end of the story. I want to know what happens next.

This is the second Megan Hart book I listened to. I liked Dirt better, but this is also a good book. Worth listening to.

Really liked it.

Very well written. I really cared about the characters and found myself thinking of being in their situations. It was very hard to put down. The narrator was very good too!

Bravo...

personally I am a great fan of Megan Hart, and this book is another home run for her. She takes you so deeply into the life of each of the characters you feel like your watching a movie not just listening to an audio book. I highly recommend this book, it has it all drama, love,hate, and passion. It'll leave you wanting more.

Surprising

This is not the type of book I would normally pick. I found myself drawn in by the description but this story was completely different than what I was expecting. As a person whose family suffered a tragedy similar to the main character, the struggles, heartache, anger and guilt hit extremely close to home. It was so easy to sink into her mind. The want of touch and connection. The loss of communication. The craving of all of these things drives the story in a way that leaves you yearning. The book was a pleasant, if emotional, surprise I didn’t know I needed. Thank you.

Not what I expected

I found this title under the BDSM category and it definitely doesn’t belong there. To me this was not “spicy” enough for me. I liked the ladies voice and she did a good job, but the book itself left me lacking. It was hard to follow and figure out in the beginning, once I did figure out what was going on I just wanted them to hook up already. I would have preferred more of the story to be of when they got together not so much the story before they did.

pretty good

this story is pretty good i must say, but it is also very depressing at the same time.

Heartbreaking yet hopeful.

Slow starting, this story picks up a short way in and develops into a rich tapestry of pain, guilt, perseverance and ultimately, hope. An excellent read.
