Interesting Stories, so-so narrator

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I loved most of the themes and story lines in the audio book, but wished the narrator could slow down her reading of the book. It sounds like she is going like a train certain parts of the book. If you like listening to bondage stories, this book is better than most. I would suggest slowing the speed by 25%, then you will enjoy it.

Naughty fun for everyone

A number of steamy stories with something for everyone. All of them quality writing and narrated in a sexy, sultry tone. Of course with a mixed bag there may be things you're not completely into but at least you can skip a chapter with the touch of a button! Entertaining and definitely... Enjoyable ;)

Great Stories in Need of Better Narration

Best Bondage Erotica 2015 of a collection of the Best BDSM stories for that year. Rachel Kramer Bussel is the editor. Gabrielle Tuller provides the narration on this collection of short stories. The stories were enjoyable but the experience was lessened by the narration. I play with reducing the playback speed tweaking slower the equalizer on the iPod and it helped some but a different narrator would have better served these authors works properly. The variety and creativity amaze me.

I usually enjoy novels rather than short stories, but erotica is a different story. I enjoy the short and varied erotic stories in these compilations. I have several of Rachel Kramer Bussel’s collections, and my husband and I have enjoyed them very much. These stories are not meant to be romances, but erotic encounters or moments. The variety and creativity shown in these stories and collections continue to amaze me.

There are always some stories I enjoy more than others, but that is to be expected as tastes vary. My husband will not always pick the same favourites that I pick. But I always read (or listen) to all of the stories and enjoy them for the variety they present.

It was okay

I like a good erotic romance novel but I just couldn't get into this book at all. I prefer a book where I can get to know the characters and these short stories just didn't do it for me. Maybe it was the narrator. Many times I couldn't tell whether the character was male or female. The voice just seemed almost monotone. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Narration Needs Work

The short stories are just what you would expect them to be given the title of the book. Bondage fantasies that some women have written short stories about.

However, while I am sure the narrator is good at narrating other types of books, this is NOT one of them. The various voices she tries to portray are anything but erotic! Even the monotone in which she portrays the female characters is a bit comical when you are trying to listen to the story line. Would recommend not doing narrations where the switching of characters is required.
