Publisher's summary

It's been months since Brian Sinclair, lead guitarist for the famous rock band Sinners, composed anything. Unable to write the music that once flowed so naturally, Brian is lost without his musical mojo. But when sexy psychology professor Myrna Evans comes on tour to study groupie mentality, Brian may have found the spark he needs to reignite his musical genius. When lust turns to love, will Brian be able to convince Myrna that what they have is more than just a fling, and that now that he's found his heart's muse, he doesn't want to live without her?

Hot!!! Hot!!! Hot!!!!

I chose this book based on the ratings and I was not disappointed. The sex scenes were very steamy and the love story of Brian and Mryna keep me interested. I plan to look out for more work from the author.

Welcome Change of Plot

The behind-the-scenes look in the music industry was a welcome change in storyline from the cookie cutter romance stories. I love that every character in the story was flawed in some way which made them believable and interesting. So much better than the "perfect people finding each other" that is the basis of most romances. Mix that with laugh-out-loud humor and scorching heat between the sheets (or any other available location) and you have a winner. Looking forward to other stories in the series.

Great New Listen

I took a chance on listening to an author unknown to me with this series and fell in love. I found myself laughing and having a love hate relationship with the characters. I could not wait for new credits to buy the next books in the series. Definately worth the listen. Sex scenes were HOT!

Go Ahead and Get This One!

What did you love best about Backstage Pass?

Okay when I spent my credit I was desperate to have something to listen to when making a trip with my daughter whose music DRIVES ME NUTS. :) Didn't expect to absolutely LOVE it! Great characters, well written and good narration. Love it when I find a new author paired with a good narrator. Spend your credit with confidence!!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

All five guys! Cannot wait to hear the rest in the series

What about Justine O. Keef’s performance did you like?

I am soooo fussy when it comes to narration, it makes or breaks a book for me and I am either all in or flick it off - Ms O.Keef's narration kept me there to the end.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

-

Any additional comments?

going to get every other book in the series!!

Amazing beginning to a kick ass series I love

What made the experience of listening to Backstage Pass the most enjoyable?

I read Backstage Pass before I listened to the audio book - but listening to a story makes you use your brain in a completely different way. Different things stuck out to me. It was almost like reading it for the first time. I honestly forgot how funny it was and found myself laughing out loud so many times. The details were more vivid. It was a very interesting experience.

What other book might you compare Backstage Pass to and why?

It's a rock star book - but there is no comparing it. This book/series has it all. It's got love, hot sex, humor - it's one of the best blended books I've ever read. Not to mention it's the beginning book for the series so not only is she making you fall in love with the couple, she's making you fall in love with the band as a whole. Drawing you into all of their characters - which is done flawlessly.

What does Justine O. Keef bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This would be my only negative about the book. Overall the narrator didn't cut it for me. She was flat - robotic, maybe it was just the recording, but I didn't care for it. She did a great job with doing different voices for all the characters, but it did take me a couple of chapters to get over the fact that I didn't like her voice. It's funny because the same thing happened with the 50 Shades audio books - my brain learned to process the words that were being said, not the voice that was saying them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh a lot....like a ton. I felt every emotion - the angst, the love....you name it, it got to me.

Any additional comments?

You will not regret listening to this series - it's one of my top faves of all time!

For someone so smart..

Oh Myrna...
The MFC is this smart put together older professor. There are a lot of things I like about her but a lot of things I don’t. Like just opening a door without checking who’s there? Being in such denial that it annoys everyone in the book and the reader. It’s really that bad. Fortunately the other band mates are so interesting that it makes me want to continue the series to get to know each of them better.
