Publisher's summary
Layla and Max grew up together, telling secrets, playing games, and sharing everything. As adults, however, they have drifted apart, and when Max shows up at Layla's house in the middle of the night, it has been more than a year since she has seen him. His eyes seem to say that he is the same best friend who she camped out with in the backyard with and experimented with for her first kiss. His body, however, seems to suggest differently. Layla is conflicted as to whether she should go on the offered road trip he has suggested.
Max always saw Layla as the girl next door. She was his first crush and his first kiss, but it ended there. No matter what, though, she has always been the first person he thinks of when he is upset, and when his girlfriend breaks his heart, he heads straight for Layla. In just one year she has changed into a stunning woman who stirs desires in him that Max struggles to hide. Hoping a road trip, like when they were young, will reconnect their friendship and get him over his girlfriend, he convinces Layla to go along with him. Once they get out on the road, however, his attention turns away from childhood games and into much more adult pursuits.
Can sex between best friends turn their connection into lasting passion, or will they lose their friendship and each other forever?

Passion and fun between childhood friends
I'm a huge fan of Bancroft and I have to say, this is one of her best books yet. The book is about two childhood friends, Max and Layla, the boy and girl next door for all intents and purposes. The two were mainly friends but each other's first crushes as well. After not seeing each other for quite sometimes, they reconnect when Max shows up at Layla's door after not seeing one another for nearly a year. Max asks Layla on a road trip so he can clear his head after his girlfriend has once again broken his heart. Without giving too much away, lets just say Max's attention doesn't stay focused on his ex for long. Things definitely get hot and heavy in this fun, sexy and unexpected romance. Get it now! I promise you'll love it.

"Always You" Has Touched My Heart With Romance
What made the experience of listening to Always You the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed listening to "Always You" the romance that comes to life between two friends because I liked hearing the passion between Layla and Max out loud.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Max is my favorite character from "Always You" because he showed such tenderness to Layla. She was so shy and timid about sex, and he made her realize the wonderful feelings that she longed for. The best part about that, is she waited for him. He made Layla feel as any woman wants to feel at least once in her life.
Which character – as performed by Kendall Taylor – was your favorite?
My favorite character that was performed by Kendall Taylor is definitely Layla. When Kendall spoke for Layla, she sounds just like the person I imagine Kayla to be. Being a dancer, Layla needs to be graceful, and I think of Layla having a soft voice because of that grace.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
If I were to make a film of this story, my tag line would be "Always You," Romance can be quite a storm.
Any additional comments?
I actually gave the performance 4 stars because I think the story would be more believable, if a man was playing Max. I think people who listen to the story would find the feel the true romance between these best friends.

Always You... Romance that takes you back ages!
We all have that one person in our lives that make us think back and wonder, what if? This story between two childhood crushes is gripping, and leaves you wanting to know more about the characters future quests! Many of us enjoy road trips, and know well enough that during those long hours in a car with someone can either bring you closer, or drift you farther apart. I was certainly rooting for the two to reconnect that initial childhood crush they began! Then again, I am a sucker for a romance story with a sweet ending.

A Thrilling Romance Story.
Would you listen to Always You again? Why?
Yes I would. This is because its very suspenseful and keeps you on the toes wanting to get more.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was Layla. She came out as a strong girl with high moral standard. She was also a good friend to Max having given him a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on.
What does Kendall Taylor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She brings life to the story. If I were reading the book,it would just be plain.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes I did. I really felt for Layla when she was listening to Max's conversation with her Ex and she thought they were getting back together. She was really heartbroken I actually cried.
Any additional comments?
Alessandra is an excellent writer. This book has been a wonderful experience for me as I love romantic books. Its easy to understand and full of romance. Would recommend it to anyone so get your copy now.
