Publisher's summary

This is a step-by-step guide for dominants who want to train their submissives the right way. Submissive training is only effective when you have the right techniques to do it. So if you are a master or dominant who is currently in a BDSM relationship, you can get helpful tips from this book. Learn the best way to keep your submissive happy and contented with anything you give them.

Understanding and implementing the BDSM lifestyle can be hard when you don't have the right support. If you simply want to know more about the dominant-submissive relationship, this is the best solution for you. Know and identify your desires and get the pleasure that you always deserve from this rare connection. Owning and helping a consensual slave is not that easy because you need knowledge in training them to act like one.

The rules should be strictly implemented once the submissive agrees to the contract. However, there will be punishments when a rule is broken, intentionally or not. This is why it's very important that you educate your consensual slave with all the necessary details as they will be held responsible for every act that they do. The terms consensual, sane, and safe are actually the keystones of carefully practicing such a lifestyle.

Basic but informative

What did you like best about A Perfect Dom's Guide to BDSM Relationships? What did you like least?

The good thing is the book is written in very plain easily understandable grammar.
One the down side it is very short. It lacks a lot of examples and information. I was hoping for more. Certainly a beginners guide.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

More factual info . No really interesting parts of a story.

What three words best describe Audrey Lusk’s voice?

Voice is a little too monotone for my liking

True Information

after many years of research and battling in and out of the BDSM community I have not found a better source of Truth or more sound advice then what is covered in this book.

And stuff...

There is some OK information in the book, however there are parts that make me question it’s value.

For example, there is a line that says “BDSM can be consensual”.

If, you are involved in any act with another person and it is not consensual, you are likely abusing or raping the other person.

The book brings up some good points, such as safety. However the author recommends a knife. Paramedic scissors, designed to slide along the skin without cutting are the recommended safety tool, knifes can make the situation worse.

At points in the reading I did get a good laugh. The problem is that I am not sure the author intended to create a humorous experience. My favorite example is the section on oral pleasure. The author writes that you should have the submissive start with a toy and develop their skills. Then when they are ready, it is time for “real thing or actual”.

The phrasing in the book creates inaccuracies in some places and is just amusing in others.

Overall, the book dances through the world of D/s, giving you some ideas that would require significant additional research. If you are looking for a high level overview, this book is not bad. If you are expecting an in-depth look into a world that both interests and frightens you, this book is likely to be confusing and more detrimental than a positive introduction.
