Publisher's Summary

The scorching hot love story that is this generation's Pretty Woman. You can't put a price on love - so they say....

When a medical condition threatens to tear apart Lanie Talbot's family, she makes the ultimate sacrifice. With no time and no other option, Lanie puts herself up for sale at an underground, high-end establishment where women are auctioned off to influential, wealthy men with more money than sense.

Enter Noah Crawford: millionaire business mogul and Chicago's most eligible bachelor. But Noah's distrust in relationships has led him to make a very desperate decision of his own - purchasing a woman to satisfy his every desire. No strings attached, no heartbreak, and no way anyone will ever know. Just two million dollars to have his wicked way with Lanie Talbot for two years....

Laini and Noah's relationship is explosive. When they fight, they take no prisoners. When they love, they show no mercy. When they combine the two, they never want to leave each other's arms. But did they both get more than they bargained for? A Million Dirty Secrets is the first part of a scorching hot romantic duet that promises to be this generation's Pretty Woman.

Dirty sexy hot

With lightning speed, A Million Dirty Secrets gets down and fantastically dirty. Mere moments after being purchased by the remarkably gorgeous and imposing Noah Crawford, Delaine is put to work on her first lesson in pleasure.

Delaine's following days and nights are brimming with a sensual overload of luscious erotic experiences and deep fantasies fulfilled with unbridled fervor by the masterful and insatiable Noah. The lovers soon discover sexually liberated Delaine is a devilishly ravenous and wanton woman. Much to his delight, Noah's unparalleled talents are met stroke for eager stroke by his challenging and blindingly beautiful bought goddess. With each encounter this couple's carnal appetite for one another compounds and combusts. Their fights are intense, their make-up sex even more so. And, despite their turbulent relationship, a deeper affection and connection develops.

At first, I found the books's premise and Noah and Delaine's arrangement improbable and seedy. But, swiftly the couple grew on me. It's hard not to fall in lust with Noah. He's a true stallion. It is tougher however to fall in love with Delaine. Her character is incessantly musing adolescent observations and cringe-worthy descriptions. There are far too many "Wonder Peen" references and excessive bodily fluids revelations. She thankfully softens, as does Noah, when feelings beyond desire emerge. Halfway through the story I didn't mind her so much and even began to like her. It probably helped that her strong personality amused Noah. By the end of the book I was highly invested and interested in their having a future together.

If you are looking for a seriously spicy book to read, this is it. A Million Dirty Secrets gets hotter and hotter with each page turn. Their frenzied carnal feast is highly satisfying. I'm excited to continue Delaine and Noah's stormy love story with the second book in the series: A Million Guilty Pleasures.

Awfully predictable.

Would you try another book written by C. L. Parker or narrated by Rubyyy Jones and Rockwell Davis ?

No, I doubt I will ever read another book by C.L Parker.

Has A Million Dirty Secrets put you off other books in this genre?

Possibly.

What didn’t you like about Rubyyy Jones and Rockwell Davis ’s performance?

Rockwell Davies was excellent but Rubyyy Jones was awful. She sounded like a spoilt, jaded and bitchy teenager. Not at all fitting the character.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Rockwell Davies was a pleasure to listen to.

Any additional comments?

Very predictable in the story (fairytale) and totally unreal.

Done in one sitting

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend even though at first you feel the main female will be whiney and irritating it is actually satisfying to hear her grow in to herself throughout the book with the promise of her maturing further, while Noah starts well but seems stilted, the narrator does a fantastic job with him but I hope the author brings him to full potential in the sequel.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Definitely when Lexie is introduced, highly amusing.

Any additional comments?

Highly frustrating that I have to wait for the next instalment!
