Deutschland, 1944. Regines 17. Geburtstag wird von einem Fliegeralarm unterbrochen. Auf der Straße findet sie den verletzten Polen Jan und beschließt ihm auf seine Bitten hin zu helfen - trotz ihrer überzeugten nationalsozialistischen Gesinnung. Jan und Regine verlieben sich ineinander, ihre Treffen können jedoch nur heimlich stattfinden. Je mehr Zeit sie mit Jan verbringt, desto mehr beginnt Regine den Nationalsozialismus zu hinterfragen. Doch eines Nachts wird das Liebespaar verraten und getrennt. Werden sie sich jemals wiedersehen?
