Episode 8: Decline & Rise of Beacon Hill

Welcome to Historic Boston: Beacon Hill, a walking tour of one of Boston’s best known but least explored neighborhoods. In episode 8, we will walk the Flat of the Hill while discussing the decline of Beacon Hill following the Civil War, the development of Back Bay as the new "fashionable neighborhood", and  the community activism that brought about Beacon Hill's revival in the 20th century.
